West Brom and Southampton have agreed terms to sign their next Tom Fellows

West Bromwich Albion continued their impressive pre-season with a 4-1 win over Shrewsbury on Saturday, with two goals from new signing Jimmy Jay Morgan.

The Baggies have strengthened their squad by bringing in Chelsea’s attacking midfielder, and he has scored three goals and provided two assists in pre-season.

James Morrison will be hoping that the youngster from Southampton, who left St. Mary’s joined Chelsea, he will be the spark of attack that was missing last season, when he scored only 48 goals in 46 Championship games.

Tavolieri added that the player is yet to decide which team he would like to join, but a ‘definite’ choice is expected to come in the coming hours.

Morrison must push to convince the player to choose the Baggies as he could come and add much-needed creative quality to the side down the right.

Although he is not an out-and-out player like Fellows, Galves is a right winger who has the ability to create opportunities for his teammates at the other end of the pitch.

His creative output at Ligue 2 side Rodez in the 2025/26 campaign shows he could be just what West Brom were missing in the Championship last term.

He has the quality to go forward and create goals regularly down the right flank, which Baggies fans haven’t seen since Fellows was sold to Southampton.

Of course, that also means the Saints could have two incredibly creative threats down their right flank if they sign Galves to partner with Fellows next term, greatly strengthening their attack.
