Tottenham eye Alex Scott after Arsenal and Man United approaches were rejected

Tottenham are looking for another midfielder after Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, Arsenal and Man United have already returned.
One of the biggest stories surrounding Spurs in recent weeks has been their pursuit of Tonali.
The Newcastle star remains one of the club’s mainstays as Roberto De Zerbi looks to add quality and experience to the midfield.
Reports throughout June suggested that Tottenham had already held talks with Tonali’s representatives, while other reports suggested that the Italian was keen on a move to north London should an agreement be reached between the clubs.

Newcastle are understood to value the midfielder at around £100m, which explains why Spurs have had their opening bid of around £80m knocked back by the Magpies.
Tonali has become one of the headline names in Tottenham’s summer strategy.
Tottenham are holding club-to-club talks to sign the “quick” star from the London rivals
He is ‘very determined’ to travel.
However, he is not the only midfielder being watched.
West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes remains another top target, with the Portuguese international attracting plenty of interest following an impressive campaign in east London.
Recent reports from a number of outlets have suggested that Tottenham have already made progress on the player’s side, and Fernandes has said that they are close to reaching an agreement on personal terms.
The Independent reported that this week there were good talks between Tottenham and West Ham about a deal that could end up costing £85 million.
Those experiences strengthened Spurs’ determination to strengthen their midfield.
While work continues on potential arrivals in the middle of the park, Tottenham have already completed additional business elsewhere.
The club recently secured the signing of Martin Dubravka on a free transfer after his move from Burnley.
An experienced goalkeeper comes in to provide more depth and competition within the squad.
Dubravka spent last season at Turf Moor after his long spell at Newcastle came to an end, and his arrival represents another part of Tottenham’s ongoing transformation under De Zerbi.
Despite this massive recruitment, Spurs continue to look at opportunities across the Premier League, with one player attracting attention is Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
Tottenham eye Alex Scott after Arsenal and Man United return
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham are among the few clubs looking at the 22-year-old player.
Scott has developed into one of Bournemouth’s most important players since his arrival from Bristol City.
His performances over the past two seasons have drawn increasing interest from some of England’s biggest clubs, and a Sky blog report says Tottenham are one of three Premier League clubs currently showing interest.
Man United and Arsenal are also monitoring the situation, with both clubs believed to have already made inquiries about the £60 million midfielder.
However, those approaches were reversed by the Cherries.
Bournemouth’s position is clear – they don’t want to lose Scott during the transfer window.
Club officials are understood to have discussed the situation with interested parties, and instead of preparing for a sale, Bournemouth are focused on securing the player’s long-term future.
Talks have already taken place over a new contract, with the coastal club hoping Scott will continue to improve under newly appointed coach Marco Rose.
That is still Bournemouth’s preferred result.
Scott’s standing in this game continued to grow even though he missed the England team that will play in the World Cup this summer.
The midfielder was reportedly heavily considered for selection before he was ultimately left out of the final squad, but his performances at club level have nevertheless ensured his name remains in the ranks of several top sides.
