Performance wise, the Dreme X50 Ultra was generally solid. It started with a full deep clean, then was cleaned and blasted on its second run. While setting up the app, I told it I had pets, so it dumped a bunch of them into the dustbin when it started. I have found that it is very clever to lift its mops while cleaning the carpet.

It took 2 hours, 3 minutes to complete its work at my home. The mop job was amazing, dealing with muddy paws on my vinyl plank and I was able to use a traditional stick mop. And I was particularly impressed by its avoidance of purpose; it went around shoes, leashes and even my two dogs without a problem.

Setting it up was a breeze. The app was smart and the machine’s build quality felt solid, although with so many moving parts — like the auxiliary arms for mounting and lowering the turret — I doubt its long-term durability.

Another important feature that stood out was the tangle-free roller. In my home test, comparing the Dreme X50 to my old Roborock Q5 after cleaning a large area rug, the difference was amazing. Roborock was full of hair, and Dreame’s roller was completely clean. This is a huge advantage over competitors, who often struggle with pet hair.
