Stefon Diggs is still looking for his next NFL team after one season with the New England Patriots, which ended in a loss in Super Bowl LX.

With NFL training camps around the country set to begin at the end of the month, Diggs, who will be entering his 12th season, made the statement during a recent YouTube video on his channel.

Diggs revealed that he is the No. 2 receiver in the league, and explained why.

“Everybody got a 1,” he said. “Without the odds, people might say there are seven real No. 1s. In my opinion, I can compete with anyone, but take those as your No. 1s. You can’t name a No. 2 better than me. There’s no No. 2 on the team. Let’s probably give people credit and say, ‘Okay, you want to take the No. 1 spot.’ Name your number 2 recipient right now. Tell me how much you make. My last question is: Are you better than me?”

Diggs put up 1,013 yards in his 11th season, his first and only with the Patriots, on 85 receptions (102 targets) with four touchdowns from rising star quarterback Drake Maye. It marked Diggs’ seventh 1,000-yard season in the NFL, coming in seven of the last eight seasons.

The 32-year-old indicated he would be the No. 2 pick, meaning he could take a pay cut to join a squad that could help return to the playoffs and, as the player always hopes, the Super Bowl. But neither team has scored a goal yet.

Could Diggs’ off-field issues be a factor? He faced heavy criticism in December after he was charged with strangulation and assault during an argument with his private chef.

However, Diggs was found not guilty by a jury, and the NFL closed its review of the matter, saying there was insufficient evidence to warrant a suspension for violating its personal conduct policy. Diggs’ lawyer said “professional athletes have a target on their backs” following the not guilty verdict.

“We have taken these allegations seriously since Day One and that is why we were eager for the truth to emerge through the legal process,” said Mitch Schuster of Meister, Seelig & Schuster, the firm representing Diggs, in a statement provided to Fox News Digital in May.

The Patriots released Diggs in March, but he has remained in good shape and looking for the next opportunity since the league waived him last month.
