Spurs have an excellent young player in Vuskovic

Tottenham Hotspur go into the last game, two points ahead of 18th-placed West Ham United in this unusual relegation battle.

If the Lilywhites had decided to continue with Igor Tudor until the end of the season, it is unlikely that they would enjoy the upswing in form that has been made under the leadership of Roberto De Zerbi in the past few weeks.

Gone are the days of Harry Kane and Heung-min Son and Dele Alli and the rest, challenging for the Champions League title and glorifying their spectacular football at the bottom of the Premier League.

Tottenham need a new talisman to emerge, and while he has yet to kick a ball for the club in a competitive game, Luka Vuskovic could be the man for the job.

Vuskovic is a future star for Spurs

Vuskovic is only 19 years old, yet he is already establishing himself as one of the most talented defenders in the world. He is from Tottenham, but on loan from Hamburg. Next year, it will be the core of the property plans.

This is one of the most exciting defenders in the world, a player who can compete with the best player in the business down the line. Tottenham cannot drop into the Championship.

Apart from the obvious, wide-ranging reasons, Vuskovic would not have been involved in the second team after several seasons of development in Belgium and Germany.

Described as a “monster” by talent scout Jacek Kulig, Vuskovic scores as many points per game as anyone, and is a spearhead in the air, but he also has a rare ability to score goals: having played 26 Bundesliga games this season, he is the leading scoring defender in five European leagues.

He’s the real deal, but Vuskovic isn’t the only rising star who could make a difference in the world at N17 next year, with young Kane set to return from his loan spell.

Spurs must introduce new Harry Kane soon

Players of Kane’s caliber only come once in a blue moon, but in Mikey Moore, Tottenham may have their new version of the club legend on the books.

Moore, 18, has been loaned out to Scottish Premiership side Rangers, where he has continued to impress throughout the campaign.

The Rangers have changed and flowed, and while the first few months were difficult for the young players, he is now on the front foot, a regular in the starting lineup and a six-goal scorer since the start of the year.

A few days ago, he was crowned PFA Scotland Men’s Young Player of the Year, and as he prepares to return to north London, Moore could find himself emulating Kane ahead of him, with the Three Lions captain completing a string of loan spells before becoming a global star at the front of Mauricio Pochettino’s regime.

Likened to James Maddison for looking like “Neymar on the left wing”, the dynamic youngster is on the rise. He played under Ange last season, scoring in the Europa League and claiming the winners’ medal. Now, he has gained a lot in a prominent role in Scotland.

The signs are there. Despite his straightforward outfit, Moore has created seven big chances in just 22 starts in the league this season, winning 3.2 duels and completing 1.5 tackles per game.

Although Vuskovic has more fame to his name, his peer could still develop into a “future star”, according to former Spurs star Gary Mabbutt.

Can he emulate Kane in developing into a star member of De Zerbi’s Spurs side? Maybe so. That talents like Vuskovic and Moore are waiting in the wings emphasizes that the future is bright for N17.
