Apple’s March 4 Event Expected to Reveal New iPhones, iPads and MacBooks

As an apple events spread beyond the company September extravaganza Of course The latest iPhone release, the company is starting to take different approaches to its product launch. New”Exclusive Apple Experience” is scheduled for March 4 at 9 a.m. ET, but the company is likely to make several product announcements next week.
Apple’s invitations often contain clues about what might be revealed at the event. Last September’s Awe-Dropping event invite teased a new vapor chamber cooling system for iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models and new the color of the pumpkin.
The March 4 event invitation has a three-dimensional shape made of yellow, green and green cut glass. A popular theory is that this image is a nod to Apple’s retro princess logo from the previous Mac logo, which means that new colorful MacBooks could be part of the show.
While most of the events are about hardware, the “Apple Experience” will reportedly be an opportunity for members of the media to get hands-on with Apple’s new products. A A bevy of new Apple products could be launched in the days leading up to this event.
We are waiting to see something new The iPhone and iPad earlier in the week, followed new MacBooks before Apple’s event on March 4. It doesn’t seem like a big deal new product rumors The list of MacBook will start to appear in this event. It’s possible that Apple will save some of it a big, fun rebuild for the annual September event.
Here’s everything we can expect from Apple’s March 4 event.
It’s spring refresh season, which means the MacBook Pro is likely to get a performance upgrade in the form of M5 Pro and M5 Max chips.
MacBook chipset update (and maybe something completely different)
We’re expecting a slew of new MacBook computers in 2026, but it’s not clear whether they’ll all be revealed during Apple’s next event – especially since most of the rumored products seem to be slated for release in the second half of the year. You should expect a chip update for the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air, as well as a few surprises.
-
The bread and butter of this spring product review will likely be the MacBook Pros. The 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro is already available, which means it’s time for higher-powered MacBook Pros with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips to make their debut. We expect to see the chipset upgrade for the standard 14- and 16-inch models on Tuesday, March 3 or Wednesday, March 4.
-
The MacBook Air is also rumored to receive an M5 chip upgrade during the first half of 2026. While it may not hit store shelves before the new MacBook Pros, we could see Apple announce it next week, too.
-
We may finally see the long-rumored budget MacBook or the first OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro. Signs point to a budget MacBook making its debut on March 3 alongside Pro and Air updates. The OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro is a big deal, and it’s rumored to be released later in the year, so it’s doubtful it’ll be part of the March event. However, Tim Cook posted a teaser video for X on Feb. 26 with a finger that changes the Apple logo, indicating that the touchscreen Mac may be launched on Monday before the event.

A typical addition would include the iPhone 17 system
A follow-up to the iPhone 16E can offer performance improvements for the same price.
Apple’s annual iPhone unveiling takes place in September, so we’ve had almost half a year to get familiar with the iPhone 17 lineup (including the new iPhone Air). But the company’s budget-friendly iPhone offerings are expected in this spring refresh cycle, when the initial hype is starting to die down. The iPhone 16E was unveiled around this time last year, and rumors indicate that the iPhone 17E will likely be an improvement on that device.
-
The iPhone 17E will replace the iPhone 16E while maintaining the same price of $599. It is reported that the new iPhone could go with the A19 processor, MagSafe technology and the Dynamic Island design, which debuted in 2022 with the iPhone 14 Pro. We expect to see the iPhone 17E unveiled early next week, in the days leading up to the March 4 event.
The 11th-gen iPad was a simple upgrade over its predecessor, featuring more storage and a faster chip. We expect the same with the 12th-gen iPad.
The new generation of iPads can include standard technology
It’s been a year since the release of the 11th generation iPads with their A16 processors. We expect Apple to give these devices a strong performance overhaul at the March event, introducing a new generation of iPads with powerful chipsets. The iPad Air should also be updated with a new processor soon, and it’s very likely that we’ll see that come to fruition during Apple’s March event.
-
The 12th generation iPads are rumored to feature A18 processors, making them the first in Apple’s tablet lineup to support Apple Intelligence features. It is possible that the new iPads will be revealed alongside the iPhone 17E early next week, ahead of the March 4 press event.
-
The iPad Air is rumored to skip the M3 chipset upgrade. Instead, we expect to see the M4 processor in the spring update of this product, and there is a very strong possibility that it will be shown alongside the 12th-gen iPads during the event on March 4.
Be sure to come back to CNET on March 4 for full coverage of everything Apple announces at the event.
