Newcastle made a summer transfer bid to sign Victor Munoz after Zadok Yohanna
Newcastle United have now made an official bid for the “high-potential” striker, and have increased their interest in Zadok Yohanna.
Newcastle are pursuing Anthony Gordon as a replacement
With Anthony Gordon’s move to the Camp Nou confirmed at the start of the summer, Newcastle will have plenty of time to bring in a new midfielder, and have begun to step up their bid to replace the England international.
Now a serious offer has been sent for Hoffenheim star Bazoumana Toure, with the Ivorian having been superb in the 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign, amassing five goals and 12 assists in 30 appearances.
The Magpies are also keen to strengthen at the other end, as it was reported on Wednesday that a bid has been sent in for AIK right winger Yohanna.
However there have been conflicting reports, with journalist Luke Edwards saying: “Newcastle United are looking to sign AIK midfielder Zadok Yohanna. They have had discussions with the club and the club’s representatives. But they have not made an offer and they are well aware of the interest of rivals in this player which means they have to be careful when looking at the progress being made.”
The Nigerian-born player has five goals and four assists in 18 games for the Swedish club, but is only 18 years old, and Eddie Howe’s are also keen to sign an experienced winger, who could be a direct replacement for Gordon.
Newcastle have submitted a bid for the left winger with “huge potential”.
According to reports from Spain (via Sport Witness ), Newcastle have now submitted a formal bid worth €40m (£35m) for Osasuna left-back Victor Munoz, with Howe keen to hand the 22-year-old a leading role.
Munoz is determined to move to St. James’ Park, with a ‘big money’ offer on the table, and the Magpies are pushing hard to get a deal done.
However, the move may be difficult given that former club Real Madrid has a buyout clause, and the La Liga giants must also pay 50% of all transfer fees.
The 22-year-old has only played four games for Madrid, but has started since signing for Osasuna, and was called up to Spain’s World Cup squad.

Back in September, the Barcelona-born striker was once again praised by journalist Adrian Blanco, who described him as having “great potential” and one of La Liga’s “revelations”.
However, Newcastle have plenty of targets on the left side, with Toure and AC Milan star Rafael Leao outdoing Munoz in league goals in the 2025-26 season.
