Man Utd in talks to sign “England’s Ousmane Dembele”

When the transfer window opens, Manchester United will push hard to bring in a new midfielder ASAP.

Although fans are urging Casemiro to stay at Old Trafford, the Brazilian has continued to express his intention to leave the Premier League at the end of the season.

Rumors are rife about potential replacements, with United looking for two central midfielders to relieve the pressure.

One of those could be £100m options for Sandro Tonali and Elliot Anderson. The idea is that they may spend a lot of money on one midfielder before finding a cheaper option in the form of Ederson at Atalanta or Mateus Fernandes at West Ham.

That said, the midfield isn’t the only part of the squad United are looking to strengthen.

Man United are looking at a number of young players

While a new midfielder is key this summer, United are reportedly interested in bringing in a number of young players.

At Bournemouth, Eli Junior Kroupi has been linked with a move but most of the Premier League’s top clubs are interested and the Cherries are not looking to sell this summer. He could also cost £100m.

Mateus Mane of Wolves has once again been the talk of the town’s biggest clubs, considering that Rob Edwards’ team will be relegated.

Man Utd’s most expensive signing ever

Most of their additions have not lived up to expectations.

Speaking of which, Leicester City’s relegation from League One will be taken advantage of again.

Premier League clubs won’t be interested in many of their players but Jeremy Monga is one to attract interest. This is according to reports from the Round Table suggesting that Jason Wilcox met with club officials in Leicester this week to discuss the signing of Monga.

United are said to have a ‘strong interest’ in the 16-year-old who is expected to leave the King Power in the coming months.

Why Monga could be the new Rashford

One of the priorities last summer for United was to strengthen the wide areas.

They did a great job of that with Bryan Mbeumo coming in from Brentford and Matheus Cunha coming in from Wolves. Both had an incredible impact and were key to Champions League qualification.

The form of those two players has ended Marcus Rashford’s time at his youth club. Although Michael Carrick could offer him a way of life, the general consensus is that he will leave permanently in the summer.

Rashford spent the season on loan at Barcelona and the Spanish giants are determined to bring him back.

In Monga, the Red Devils could secure their next version of Rashford. Although the latter may not have been 15 when he made his Premier League debut – he was 18 – both achieved success at the highest levels in their youth.

The United academy graduate even scored twice on his debut against Arsenal at least, in February 2016.

In Monga’s way, they could sign another wonderkid, and he has similar characteristics to the young Rashford.

The youngster is the Premier League’s third-youngest player of all time, but has endured his struggles in 2025/26. The whole Leicester team should be told the truth. He scored just one goal and assisted twice.

5) Matt Briggs (Fulham)

6) Izzy Brown (West Brom)

9) Joel Drakes-Thomas (Palace)

10) Gary McSheffrey (Coventry)

That being said, remember that this kid is 16 years old. He shouldn’t be playing with the first team. His popularity has been very good. Monga has played 27 games for the second division this season and although he is not always in the limelight, he has great potential.

So, what makes him similar to Rashford apart from the success at a young age? However, he is incredibly mobile, quick, amazing with the ball in tight spaces and has a low center of gravity that helps him control the ball and avoid opponents with ease.

Hailed by Como scout Ben Mattinson as “England’s Ousmane Dembélé”, he notes that Monga is “pacy and an excellent dribbler” who is “a deadly finisher and a two-footed striker.”

Although Rashford does not have two feet, he is also quick and efficient when it comes to bursting past the mark.

The Leicester youngster may not be the most exciting addition Wilcox and Co could make this summer but in the future, he could play a big part in any success this big club goes on to have.
