Former U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner has been hit with a second set of explosive allegations of sexual misconduct nearly 24 hours after the rape allegations — all before a campaign deadline.
In a new report published by The Washington Post, the Maine candidate is accused of removing condoms during sex with his ex-girlfriend Lyndsey Fifield after apparently ordering her to wear them.
“He would take out the condoms,” she told the Washington Post. “He would do it in a sneaky way. He wouldn’t tell me.”

Fifield, 41, previously accused Platner of inappropriate behavior during their relationship, saying that he sometimes groped her hard enough to leave marks on her body, and that at one point he twisted his arm around her back, pushed her into the bedroom and closed the door until she “shut up.”
Those concerns were largely dismissed by Plattner’s supporters, who described Fifield, who worked at The Heritage Foundation, as a conservative.
“I faced him in the middle and behind [sex] because he knew I wasn’t on birth control and how dangerous that was,” he told The Post, who said Fifield made the allegations in a previous interview with the agency, but off the record.

“He would act cute, like ‘Oh sneaky me,'” he said, according to the report.
In a statement to The Washington Post, Platner’s campaign reportedly called Fifield’s latest allegations “false and politically motivated.”
Platner is running to unseat Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins.
On Monday, an oyster farmer, whose campaign has been plagued by scandal since last year, was accused of raping another woman.

PLATNER’S LATEST ANALYST IS DEMANDING THE HEAD OF A REALLY ‘BLACK’ DEMOCRATIC SENATOR.
Jenny Racicot, 41, told POLITICO that Platner came into her home drunk while they were dating and in 2021, raped her. She says he burst into her after she repeatedly told him to stop.
“I remember him grabbing my waist and really forcing me,” Racicot told the outlet, which he said happened when Platner was “almost drunk” in Washington, DC.

Platner flatly denied those allegations, too, in a video released shortly after the POLITICO story was published.
He said his campaign is taking time to assess its next steps, with a big deadline looming in the race.
Platner must withdraw from the race by 5:00 pm next Monday, July 13, if another person from the Democratic Alliance, who will be chosen by the party, will take his place before the November general election.
Monday evening and into Tuesday, dozens of former supporters dropped their endorsements of Platner and called for him to drop out of the race, including Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, Vt., are two of his most ardent supporters.
“Now more than ever we need leaders in Washington who reflect our values. There will be no tolerance for sexual harassment,” Warren said in a statement Monday night.

“I spoke with Graham Platner about the best way forward for Maine,” Sanders said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. “Because of these very serious allegations, I have recommended that he resign.”
