Liverpool could hire “world’s best young coach”

Mohamed Salah has engaged in a subtle war of words with Liverpool officials and what he sees as slipping standards at Anfield.
Who can blame him? The dynasty created by Salah under the leadership of Jurgen Klopp, brick by red brick, is coming to an end, and the most worrying thing is that it is difficult to see how Liverpool will return to that level.
Arne Slot was quick to list the mitigating factors that contributed to Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat at Manchester United on Sunday, but, for the 18th time this season, this has shown a short way of looking at unacceptable levels, a dramatic drop that worries FSG’s insistence that the Dutch coach is still the man for the job.

It is dangerous, to be sure, because Liverpool have not fallen but have fallen from what is considered acceptable. 18 defeats. Liverpool are on course to qualify for the Champions League, but for the mistakes of their top five rivals.
FSG continues to support the coach under fire, but this will not last long.
Who Liverpool could replace Slot
Liverpool don’t want to sack Slot, but they can’t go on like this, can they?
The Reds are a world away from their expected standards, and while sacking Slott won’t prove a magic formula for success, there’s a lot of damage one coach can do in one campaign.
When push comes to shove, Liverpool will have plenty of options to consider. Their leader: Xabi Alonso. The Spaniard, who is unemployed after parting ways with Real Madrid, is one of the most interesting young coaches in the world, but he has no experience in the Premier League and uses three guards.
It is possible that Alonso may not be the first choice right now, especially if Andoni Iraola is available.
Iraola, 43, will leave Bournemouth at the end of the season, with his side currently sitting sixth in the Premier League. Chelsea and Crystal Palace are currently battling for his signature, but sporting director Richard Hughes put him at the top of Liverpool’s shortlist last month.
Difficult to navigate, there’s no doubt, but Iraola has three successful years in the Premier League, and he brings an intense, high-class approach that has disappeared this season, honed and honed over many years at Jurgen Klopp’s Anfield.
Why Iraola could be Liverpool’s new Jurgen Klopp
Klopp. What a boss. The German came to see and win, and while his successor did a great job in leading Liverpool to the title, it’s clear that a lot has gone wrong this year, and that a change would be good for everyone.
Liverpool are slow on the ball, and it’s hard to figure out what the main strengths of this Reds outfit are. Despite keeping a lot of possessions in each game, they struggle to create and play attacking football fluently.

In that, Liverpool’s identity is being removed, and something has to change. With Iraola at the helm, it’s possible. After all, you still have it
described as “the best young coach in the world” by Sam Tighe of Sky Sports.
The Spaniard has turned Bournemouth into one of the most exciting teams in the division, but is also stable and consistent in all phases of the game. Sure, they pack a “rock and roll” punch, as Iraola has described his tricks, but they’re also tricky, going from strength to strength despite massive sales over the past few years.
He also described it as “organized chaos”, and that is probably the right way to describe Iraola football. Klopp cannot be imitated, but in Iraola, FSG can restore the DNA that has been torn apart during this turbulent season.
Slot got his flowers in Liverpool, but he doesn’t have unlimited credit in the bank. Something needs to change, and if FSG bites the bullet, Iraola could be the perfect man for the job.
He has experience in the Premier League, and is still young, early in his career. This is the step Liverpool must take.

Carragher doesn’t rate him: The slot must finally bin Liverpool’s new Darwin Nunez
