Harry Kane and Erling Haaland prepare for FIFA World Cup quarter-final as England win on the money line

I don’t think FIFA could have asked for a better group of eight teams to be in the quarterfinals of the World Cup. They will eliminate one of the best teams in the sport for this game, and one of the most famous teams or players left, but still bring in the most familiar people and teams where they want them.

Today’s game between Norway and England should be among the best games of the tournament.

Norway has one of the most popular players in the entire World Cup. It seems that the whole world has adopted Norway as their favorite team. The queue is crazy, people are singing Skol, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve seen about a million clips of Erling Haaland on TikTok recently. Haaland is one of the most entertaining players in the sport, and he seems to really enjoy playing and interacting with the crowd. He is still in the discussion for the golden boot and has established himself as one of the best goalscorers in the world.

If you need proof of that, go back and see him play in his last game against Brazil. Haaland actually played dead for a while before substituting and scoring. He then dribbled the goal through the defender’s legs and put it in the back of the net. It was amazing to watch.

Before that, they beat Ivory Coast 2-1. Their only World Cup defeat came in a match without a key player – Haaland – against France. Their first two matches were against tough opponents, but they used this opportunity to win 3-2 against Senegal and 4-1 against Iraq.

England have had a tough road to this game. They have built a strong team, most of them led by Harry Kane, who scored many goals in this World Cup. Kane has six goals, and Jordan Bellingham is not far behind with four. The 1-2 punch is something Norway does not have. England didn’t look at their best in many games, but if you watched Mexico play, with the biggest crowd in World Cup history, you could see how smart and talented they are.

The Mexico game will be one to remember forever. Maybe that’s because they had to play a man down for about 30 minutes, and England were defending the whole time. In the end they escaped 3-2. Before that, they struggled against Congo before Kane scored two late goals. In the Group Round, they looked better, but didn’t face a lot of tough competition. They beat Panama 2-0, played a draw with Ghana, and beat Croatia 4-2.

There are two stars in this game in Kane and Haaland. Let’s assume they cancel each other out. I think that’s a fair assumption. I could see them both scoring or not scoring. I think they will get attention and share twice as much as possible. That means they have to rely on other players to win this game. England will be without Jarell Quansah, who received a red card (unless overturned).

However, the team still has Bellingham, which has been very strong, especially recently. I think the better and smarter team is England. Norway is an interesting case, but when it comes down to it, I think England will come out on top. Haaland is not a doubter, but the total of the teams leads me to take England on the money line for 90 minutes.
