The upcoming Google Pixel 11 may take sharper photos and videos if internal leaks prove true. The base model will upgrade from a 48-megapixel to a 50-megapixel sensor, according to a Telegram post from Mystic Leaks. The rumor also includes details about three other new Google phones – the Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
If Google keeps its plan from last year, the Pixel 11 could come out in August.
The leak is not official information. Google hasn’t released any details about the Pixel 11 series, nor has it announced when the phones will be released. A Google representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

If the Pixel 11 gets a 50-megapixel rear camera, it will join the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, which launched last year with 50-megapixel shooters. Other phones with 50-megapixel cameras include the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, OnePlus 13 and Motorola Edge 70 Series. The 50-megapixel camera offers high resolution, light sensitivity and zoom flexibility.
There is a potential downside to the upgrade, however. Mystic Leaks said that the base model of the Pixel 11 may only have 8GB of RAM in its initial configuration, which is a significant drop from the 12GB of RAM in the Pixel 10. Secret Leaks suggested that there may be a 12GB RAM version of the Pixel 11, but that may mean a higher price for that configuration.
Manufacturers of smartphones and laptops, among other devices, have struggled with RAM shortages caused by the memory needs of the rapidly growing AI industry. That reduction has led to higher prices and component shortages for many products.
Mystic Leaks said the Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold will start with 12GB of RAM but will also have 16GB options.
More Pixel 11 details
Mystic Leaks also said that there could be four color options for the Pixel 11 — black, green, pink and purple. The phone will retain the same size and resolution OLED display from its predecessor — 6.3 inches with 1,080×2,424 pixels. The phone will come with a 4,840-mAh battery, according to insiders, which could be closer to the battery capacity of the Pixel 10 Pro than the 4,970-mAh battery of the standard Pixel 10.
Mystic Leaks also said that the Pixel 11 Pro, Pro XL and Pro Fold could have a notification light feature on the back of the phones to indicate when there is some activity, such as incoming calls and messages. CNET reported last month that Google might launch Pixel Glow — the illuminated notification system on the back of the phones — in the Pixel 11 series.
Pixel Glow will be similar to the Glyph Nothing feature it has on its phones, like new 4A Pro. The Glyph lights up in different ways to show incoming calls, messages, phone charge levels and more.
Mystic Leaks also claimed that the phones will be powered by the Tensor G6 processor, the next generation of silicon designed in-house by Google.

Reactions have been mixed on the subreddit regarding the Pixel 11 report. Redditor matteventu wrote, “I like the idea of the RGB lights hidden in there. But I’m disappointed with the RAM reduction.”
The upgrade seems “strong” to escondido311, but they added, “I want to see how the processor works. As the desktop mode becomes a reality, the extra processing power will be very important.”
