Chelsea FC 2026/27 highest paid players

Things have been chaotic at Chelsea since Todd Boehly completed his £2.45 billion takeover back in 2022. The Blues currently have an estimated annual salary of over £150m, with the average Blues player earning over £4.5m per season.
Clearing up the summer of 2025 has helped matters a bit, with the likes of Noni Madueke, Joao Felix, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Ben Chilwell all set to leave, however, the Blues are still spending more than £250m on new signing Enzo Maresca.
In 2026, they may be able to specify the same under new manager Xabi Alonso. Maybe some of the top earners can go?
Speaking of which, here’s what all of Chelsea’s first-team players are earning in 2026/27.

Here’s a detailed look at Chelsea’s top earners…
8
Tosin Adarabioyo
£120,000 a week
After acquiring the services of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer from Fulham in 2024, Chelsea were able to offer the defender a huge contract.
Stamford Bridge have offered Adarabioyo a four-year deal worth more than £6m a year, and he has continued to be a regular under Maresca.
7
João Pedro
£125,000 a week
Chelsea splashed the cash on Joao Pedro at the start of the 2025 summer transfer window, with the Brazilian even able to escape to the USA and take part in the Blues’ Club World Cup triumph.
Pedro scored some important goals in the CWC before going on to have a great first full season at the Bridge. He cost an initial £55m from Brighton.
6
Cole Palmer
£130,000 a week
Cole Palmer was Chelsea’s best signing under Boehly, continuing to develop at Stamford Bridge after struggling to break into Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.
Some may have questioned the Blues for paying £40m to sign Palmer, but he has been a star and has been rewarded with a new extension to his £130,000-a-week contract until 2033, signed in 2024.
5
Moises Caicedo
£150,000 a week
Moises Caicedo is Chelsea’s most expensive signing for Liverpool in 2023.
Arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion in a transfer worth £115m, Caicedo looks set to play a key role in the coming years as he looks to justify that price tag.
4
Pedro Neto
£160,000 a week
Another big-money signing, Pedro Neto swapped Wolverhampton Wanderers for Chelsea in Maresca’s summer transfer window only to add another attacking star to the Blues’ ranks.
He played for Molineux and was arguably their most important player when fit, and has been a reliable player so far in London.
3
Enzo Fernandez
£180,000 a week
Chelsea’s club record signing, Enzo Fernandez is the fourth highest paid player at Stamford Bridge, something that may surprise some.
The Blues have made a £107m move for the Argentine from Benfica, and now, they will be hoping that Fernandez and Caicedo can play in midfield for years to come.
2
Wesley Fofana
£200,000 a week
At £200,000 a week defender in Wesley Fofana. Signed from Leicester City in 2022, Fofana has also had his own injury problems at Stamford Bridge.
He managed 29 Premier League appearances in his first two seasons with the Blues.
1
Recece James
£200,000 a week
Topping the charts is club captain Reece James who earns £200,000 a week. The right-back has struggled to stay fit in recent seasons but is under contract until 2028.
His injury history seems to be a cause for concern for the Blues, so it will be interesting to see what they do with their big salary if he can’t stay fit.
