Celtic are planning to move the Scottish Premiership striker with more goals in 90 than Maeda
Celtic are looking to sign Falkirk star Barney Stewart and sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.
The Hoops are keen to sign a new striker as the title race heats up
The three could be two in the Scottish Premiership title race, as Hearts beat Rangers 2-1 at Tynecastle at the weekend, moving seven points clear of Ibrox with just three games in hand.
The end of this campaign is on the cards, and the Hoops are in a position to finish in first place as they are only three points behind the league leaders, although they have a very bad goal difference, which could end up being the reason.

However, having won the title at a canter for most of the last decade, the Glasgow giants clearly have work to do in the summer transfer window, and bringing in a new midfielder is now a priority.
Celtic are looking to sign Falirk star Barney Stewart
This came from a report by Football Insider, which also says that Celtic are planning to hire Falkirk striker Stewart, as it was noted that the 22-year-old player has a better goals in every 90 record in the Scottish Premiership than Daizen Maeda this season.
Maeda has ten goals to his name in 33 outings and a goals-against average of 0.35 in 90 games, most recently finding the net in a 2-1 win against Hibernian to keep the pressure on Hearts in the Scottish Premiership title race.
The Falkirk man, on the other hand, has made a good start since returning from a loan spell with Dunfermline during the January transfer window, scoring eight goals in his first 14 league games, and has a goals-against ratio of 0.54 in 90.
Manager John McGlynn was blown away after the 22-year-old scored a hat-trick against Hibernian, saying: “We took him from Heriot-Watt University and scored a few goals for us in the Championship. Then he got that injury in pre-season, a metatarsal tear which meant he was out for a long time.
“It was good for him to go to Dunfermline, to come back and his personality is amazing. He has to stay in the right place today to get goals and that’s what we’ve been missing. I couldn’t be happier for him and everyone involved. It’s amazing, absolutely unbelievable.”
Like the Scottish Premiership title race, the race for the golden boot could also be in trouble, with Benjamin Nygren only two goals behind Tawanda Maswanhise as the season approaches its climax.
