Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has hit back after a viral TikTok video purportedly filmed at one of his London restaurants sparked an online conversation about a dog seen standing next to diners.
The incident reportedly took place at the Ramsay’s Street Pizza restaurant in London, where a customer filmed a dog standing in the urinal while people were eating nearby.
The video quickly went viral across TikTok, with many users criticizing the scene as dirty and questioning whether pets should be allowed inside restaurants.

“What we saw was the CCTV footage, and that dog did not urinate or defecate,” said Ramsay.

“If the pet can be taken outside, that would be the best choice,” Gottsman said, speaking generally about behavioral issues.
He added that while some customers are understandably upset about the situation, others can see that the owners have tried to avoid danger in the restaurant by using a pee pad.
“Don’t take it out on Gordon Ramsay. Take it out on [dog] the owner allowed it.”
Gottsman noted that many restaurants, especially fine dining restaurants, will not allow pets or pee pads indoors.

Some commenters defended the restaurant and said the backlash was excessive.
“Don’t take it out on Gordon Ramsay,” one user wrote. “Get it out of the [dog] the owner allowed it.”
Another commenter added, “Y’all are taking this way too seriously.”
Others, however, say the problem is less about the dog itself and more about owners bringing their pets to indoor restaurants.
