Brady Tkachuk talks to the White House AI in a video that shows him insulting Canada

Brady Tkachuk found himself in a very awkward position.
Days after breaking the hearts of Canadians by helping the United States win the gold medal against their neighbors to the north, Tkachuk is now back with his Senators, playing in the Canadian capital, Ottawa, for a play-off.
The TikTok posting by the White House probably didn’t help themselves, as it revealed footage of Tkachuk’s conference at last year’s 4 Nations game with an AI doctor to make it appear that he was talking bad about Canada and its citizens.

“They booed our national anthem, so I had to come out and teach those maple syrup——— a lesson,” Tkachuk said. Tkachuk and his brother, Matthew, were part of three tackles in nine seconds against Canada last year.
Tkachuk celebrated his gold medal in Washington, DC, but he wasn’t happy about the video.
“Well, it’s clearly fake, because it’s not my voice, not my lips that move. I can’t control any of those accounts. I know those words will never come out of my mouth. So, I can’t do anything about it,” said Tkachuk to reporters on Thursday before his return to the NHL, via ESPN.
When asked if he enjoyed the video, he said so.

“It’s not my word. It’s not what I meant,” he added. “I wouldn’t say that. That’s not who I am, so I guess I don’t like that video because that wouldn’t come out of my mouth, and I never had that thought.”
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Others also accused Tkachuk of saying, “Close the northern border” while on the phone with President Donald Trump after the team found the gold.
“I’ve been seeing things that people think are me. But if you watch the video, it’s not my voice or anything I’ve ever said,” Tkachuk said. “I don’t know how that suddenly arose on its own when I gave everything I have here.
“It’s crazy how fast things go on social media. I would never say something like that.”
