Arsenal star Leandro Trossard is set to join Besiktas for a fee revealed

Arsenal’s summer transfer business is largely focused on strengthening the squad that brought them Premier League glory last season.

However, attention is now beginning to turn to possible moves as Mikel Arteta continues to shape his squad for the future.

The Gunners have already been heavily linked with a number of ambitious clubs in recent weeks.

Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers remains a target for Arsenal recruits, with the England international seen as someone who can add energy, intelligence and versatility to the attack.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have also explored defensive options, with Bundesliga talent Nathaniel Brown among the players recruited ahead of Bayern Munich’s move to sign.

The club’s strategy is still clear.

Andrea Berta and co are looking for players who can quickly improve the starting XI while maintaining the high standards that helped Arsenal lift the title.

However, income is only one part of the equation.

There could also be a move in the other direction as Arsenal look to balance the books following last summer’s big spending spree.

One player whose future is now under intense scrutiny is Leandro Trossard.

Leandro Trossard in ‘advanced talks’ to leave Arsenal for Besiktas

According to journalist Mark Brus, the Belgian player is in advanced talks about moving to Turkish giants, Besiktas.

His report says that personal goals are used the most, while group-to-group negotiations are expected to cost around £17 million.

If completed, it will end north London’s most productive spell.

Trossard may not have always been Arsenal’s story, but his contribution during the 2025/26 campaign was significant.

The 31-year-old scored six goals in the Premier League and provided six assists, registered 12 direct goals and played a prominent role in Arsenal’s title win.

His influence extended beyond domestic competition.

In the Champions League, Trossard scored one goal and provided five assists, again showing his ability to make an impact in big games.

Those numbers only tell part of the story.

Throughout the season, Trossard has been one of Arsenal’s most reliable rotation options, and he scored the crucial winner against West Ham in their 1-0 win at the London Stadium.

While players like Bukayo Saka and Viktor Gyokeres often grabbed the headlines, Trossard continued to quietly produce whenever called upon.

Many fans considered him as one of the underdog members of the group.

That’s why potential exits can leave a visible gap.

Arsenal have quality options across the forward line, but replacing Trossard’s experience and reliability would not be easy.

He has developed into the type of player managers love to be around – he can start games, change games from the bench and deliver in high pressure situations.

Currently, negotiations are ongoing.

But with personal terms reportedly close to being agreed and negotiations between the clubs set to take place, Trossard’s time at the Emirates may be approaching his final chapter.
