A woman arrested in connection with the cold case murder of an Iowa real estate agent in 2011 was reportedly seen by a witness “mysteriously” after the shooting, according to newly released court documents.
Kristin Ramsey, 53, is charged with murder in the April 8, 2011, death of Ashley Okland. She was arrested last month, marking the latest development in a case that has dragged on for 15 years.
Okland was shot and killed twice at close range, once in the chest and once in the face, while managing a model town owned by Rottlund Homes – the company Ramsey was employed by at the time of the alleged murder.

In a new court filing, a witness who lives next door reported hearing two loud noises before seeing Ramsey outside the town’s front door, in accordance with KCCI.
A witness reportedly told authorities that he saw Ramsey walking outside his car and using his phone when he looked out his second-floor window.
Court records show that Ramsey called a colleague at Rottlund Homes immediately following the alleged shooting, but did not call 911, the newspaper reported.

Court records also show that authorities found several guns, contraband and violent posters at Ramsey’s home when they executed a search warrant on May 3, 2011, the outlet reported.
