President Donald Trump was criticized by several celebrities after Saturday’s midday attack on the Iranian regime, with one actor mocking the Defense Department’s reissue as ridiculous, while others accused Trump of failing on his campaign promise to “stop the wars.”

“‘War Department.’ They weren’t kidding about that,” “The Gilded Age” actress Carrie Coon wrote on X.

Frequent Trump critics John Cusack, Rosie O’Donnell, Mark Ruffalo, Jack White and Jane Fonda also chimed in after the US and Israel took steps to attack the Islamic Republic, killing dozens of the country’s leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“Trump is starting a dog fight – interrupting Epstein and doing Netanyahu’s request – who has wanted this for more than 30 years – is it enough?” Cusack wrote in X.

O’Donnell used the hashtag #impeachtrump in a post accusing the president of repeated lying.

He took two quotes from Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign — one that criticized former Vice President Kamala Harris as a “representative of endless wars” and positioned herself as a “representative of peace.”

Another reads, “I will not start wars, I will stop wars.”

“This dangerous and hostile war with Iran not only violates international law and our constitution and the War Powers Act, but it risks a major war, taking many lives, including US lives,” said Fonda, on ABC7 in Los Angeles.

Ruffalo, who also tends to sympathize with Democrats, posted an article about Jared Kushner, one of Trump’s top Iran negotiators, saying, “He was sent to make sure we go to war.”

Former White Stripes frontman Jack White took to Instagram to criticize the president.

“Look at the leader of the ‘Peace Board,'” White wrote. “Venezuela, Greenland, Iran, Cuba, what’s the difference?”
