Newcastle chiefs have launched a £108m three-field signing

After losing Sandro Tonali to Tottenham Hotspur in a £100m deal, Newcastle United have already come to life in the summer transfer window.
The Magpies have already announced Anthony Gordon’s replacement for Bouzamana Toure, and have agreed a late-night deal to sign Ajax’s Sean Steur.
The 18-year-old looks set to land a deal worth €27m (£23m) which marks the start of Newcastle’s rebuilding of the stadium.
Next up is Johan Manzambi. According to David Ornstein, Newcastle have opened negotiations to sign the Swiss player and want him as well as Steur’s contract.
The Freiburg star has enjoyed an excellent World Cup campaign and is now leading the race to reach Tyneside. But even so, the Magpies are not done in midfield.
The third name on their list is Lamine Camara.

Honesty |
With speculation over the future of Bruno Guimaraes and Tonali already out, Camara makes perfect sense for Newcastle. Their interest in the AS Monaco man is no secret and has been ongoing for months. |
|
Finance |
Although absurd numbers have been swirling around the Premier League’s pitch market, Camara will come as a big-money deal – Monaco are reportedly valuing their star at just £35m. With Manzambi valued at £50m, the total cost of all three players would be £108m, just £8m more than Tonali’s bid. |
|
Understanding |
The midfielder’s playmaking work is very impressive and is something Newcastle desperately need to revamp their midfield. Last season, he was described as a “good” midfielder by scout Jacek Kulig after an excellent performance against PSG. |
|
Impact |
If Steur, Manzambi and Camara all arrive in the coming weeks, that could open the way for Guimaraes to leave the team. Arsenal, like Tottenham and Tonali, will have to make an offer PIF deems too good to refuse, while Newcastle are no longer under much pressure from PSR following their recent sale. |
Camara is one to watch and could even come at a lower price this summer, as Newcastle look to welcome a number of attractive additions.
Newcastle are prioritizing a deal for Lamine Camara
Various reports have linked Camara with Tyneside, and Football FanCast sources understand that the Monaco man is following Manzambi and Steur.
The Senegal star has been linked with Liverpool in recent months, but sources close to the player understand interest has cooled as they focus on strengthening their attack, with Newcastle firmly in the driver’s seat.
The PIF is now busy trying to put together three deals at once, after which attention will turn to the right back area.
Camara will be the perfect partner for Guimaraes
In the world where Guimaraes lives this summer, going to Camara would be great.
Much of the Brazilian’s best work has had to play a deep role over the past two years at Newcastle, providing balance alongside Tonali and Joelinton – Camara’s arrival will finally put an end to that.
The 22-year-old is a classy midfielder who can do the legwork to allow Guimaraes to get forward and have an attacking impact, where he showed last season the kind of product he can produce.

Camara’s recovery numbers are impressive, and for just £35m, he would take St James’ Park by storm.
