ENIC are in talks to sign Spurs’ Premier League “wizard”.

Tottenham Hotspur survived a stormy 2025/26 campaign, ending fears of relegation from the Premier League on the final day after beating Everton.

Now, Roberto De Zerbi is building. Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi are expected to link up with the Londoners after the World Cup in North America, while ENIC are keen to sign a number of new players in midfield and attack.

It is important to remember the extent of the reconstruction in front of Johan Lange and other decision makers. Tottenham need to combine big money moves and smart signings.

And while it won’t get fans off their seats at first glance, a potential deal for the out-of-contract Premier League star could prove a sharp summer signing for the Lilywhites.

Spurs are in talks to sign the Premier League star

The deals for Robertson and Senesi are brilliant, and evidence of the Bosman’s transfer strategy this summer. This is probably done with larger fish in mind.

Tottenham need to sign top players and playmakers this summer – Manchester City’s Savinho has been locked in a £60m deal – but with so many deals needed, it seems the board have not done well to make small smart deals to support De Zerbi’s side.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham are in talks to sign Harry Wilson this summer, the 29-year-old is a free agent whose contract with Fulham expires at the end of the month.

Everton, Leeds United and West Ham are all said to be interested, but it is Aston Villa who are currently leading the race, with new contacts with his agents expected this week. That said, Wilson will be keeping his options open, so the door is open for Spurs to sneak in and convince Wilson to stay in London.

Wilson is experienced and coming off the back of his most productive season in the Premier League. Given that he is available on a free transfer, signing him sounds like a no-brainer for a Spurs side in need of more depth.

Considering the value-for-money impact Wilson will bring to north London, he may even establish himself as a better signing than Savinho.

Why Harry Wilson would be better than Savinho

Fulham have parted ways with Marco Silva, who will become Benfica’s new manager this summer. Most notably the loss of Wilson, “a former Premier League in-form player” in January,

Wilson is one of England’s most underrated strikers. And, after so many years, he seems to have found his strength in a dangerous place, not just a threat but someone who will play an important role and collect goals and assists with consistency.

He usually plays on the right, but can also feature in the middle, and De Zerbi would be among the best managers in the division to take the Welshman to the next level.

After all, Wilson grows out of his skin like a talisman. Praised by Marco Silva for his “amazing” offensive numbers, for these two reasons, he can bring a different flavor than Savinho would to the Lilywhites set-up.

It goes without saying that Savinho and Wilson couldn’t sign for Spurs and make an impact this summer, but it’s clear that the latter man is more accomplished at the moment. For more than seven years Savinho’s boss, he has been the leading man in a stable outfit, and the Brazilian has only started seven times in the Premier League this year.

Apart from the evidence that Wilson is currently working at a high level, we must also remember that Savinho will cost a significant sum, around £60m. Therefore, he will fall into the same financial football field as the likes of Dominic Solanke and Richarlison, and will need to hit the ground running to avoid frustrating comparisons.

Described as a “wizard” by Fulham writer Jack Kelly, the Wales star is incredibly intelligent in attacking areas. He bids his time and often chooses the right position to affect the defensive structure of his opponents.

Whether Tottenham can pull off both deals remains to be seen, but for all of Savinho’s potential, Wilson could pack a punch from the start, with Spurs in urgent need of relief after a disappointing year.
