President Donald Trump abruptly ended a heated “Meet the Press” interview with host Kristen Welker in Wisconsin on Sunday after she repeatedly disputed his claims about election fraud, California’s vote count and his proposed “anti-gun” fund.

Trump cut short the interview after accusing NBC, ABC, CBS and CNN of “crookedness” during the final round of discussions about his allegations about the US election.

“You’re a one-sided network,” Trump told Welker. “Sorry. Let’s stop because I’ve had enough. Thank you, honey. You had a great time.”

The exchange escalated last time, when Welker pressed Trump on a proposed $1.8 billion fund aimed at compensating people they say were targeted by former administration Joe Biden accused of handling government “weapons.”

Welker asked Trump if he was withdrawing from the fund after Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said the administration would not move forward with it.

“Just to be clear, do you fully support the fund as your acting attorney, Todd Blanche, has said, or are you looking for another way to revive the fund?” Welker asked.

Trump defended the proposal and said that people were harmed by officials in the Biden administration.

“People have been badly hurt by the left-wing lunatics who worked for the Biden and Sleepy Joe administrations,” Trump said. “They’re cruel. They’re violent, what they do to people. And of course, they follow me more than anyone else.”

Welker pressed Trump on whether he still wanted to renew the proposal.

“Now you’re looking for a way to revive it?” Welker asked.

Trump said he personally supports the idea but admitted it would need approval.

“If it were up to me, I would pay them what they deserve,” Trump said. “So, personally, I think the armory is a good idea, and so do many other Republicans. You should get it approved.”

Trump later expanded his remarks, accusing the media and Biden officials of destroying people’s lives.

“I like this idea, because people like you, the fake dirty press, the crooked media, people like Biden who is stupid, he’s not smart enough to know what’s going on, but the people who surrounded him, surrounded his Resolute Desk in the Oval Office, what they did to people’s lives, they destroyed people,” said Trump.

Welker dismissed Trump’s claims, saying the President has no evidence.

“Just to be clear, there’s no evidence of what you’re saying,” Welker said.

Trump denied that.

“There is a lot of evidence,” Trump said. “Listen to me. There is incredible evidence. Nothing but evidence.”

Trump then reiterated his claim that the 2020 election was rigged and linked it to California’s ongoing vote count.

“The election got tough,” Trump said. “It was a dirty election. And it’s happening again right now in California.”

Trump pointed to the speed of vote counting in California, which takes more than a month to verify state elections.

“All I have to do is look,” Trump said. “They’re crooked like you’re crooked, your machine is crooked. And Meet the Press is crooked.”

“Your election is crooked, and you’re wrong, and ‘Meet the Press’ is crooked. And so is ABC and CBS and CNN,” Trump said before ending the interview.

Welker tried to keep the interview going, noting that NBC was visiting Wisconsin to sit down.

“Mr. President, let’s…please, I went all the way to Wisconsin,” Welker said.

Trump said he had given Welker enough time.

“I sat with you in the rain for an hour,” Trump said. “In and out of the rain, and I’ve given you plenty of time. You’ve got to direct your press, because you know what? The world will never be great with an unreliable press.”
