Walker scored a knockdown and slowly wore the former IBO champion to his knees before the referee stepped in at 1:59 of the tenth round, Eggington being punished so hard he could no longer defend himself.
The first rounds were competitive. Walker took out Eggington’s mouth the second they exchanged. In the fourth, both fighters traded heavily, with Eggington getting the better of them at times. He continued to land right uppercuts in the fourth and fifth rounds as Walker tried to counter every time.
Walker began to turn the fight around in the sixth, pushing Eggington against the ropes and letting go of his hands in front of a cheering crowd. The pace remained high until the seventh, when Eggington suffered cuts over both eyes. Walker was cut between the eyes again in the eighth, but that same round was decided when he dropped Eggington with a body shot after the eight count.
The ninth was closely fought with both men bleeding and exchanging blows, but Eggington’s resistance began to wear off. In the tenth, Walker hurt him and backed up, and with more than a minute left, the referee stopped the fight.
In another match, Bilal “The Machine” Fawaz stopped Ryan Kelly after nine of the twelve scheduled rounds. Kelly started well, finishing off Fawaz early on, but the headbutt in the third began to affect him. Fawaz found success with uppercuts in the fourth and controlled the fifth and sixth as Kelly took heavy punishment.
Fawaz turned up the pressure in the later rounds, going down comfortably as Kelly closed. In the ninth, Kelly was taking clean shots without giving enough, and his corner stopped the fight between rounds.
IBO super flyweight champion Shannon “Kaos” Ryan needed just two rounds to stop Nicola “Hurricane” Hopewell. Ryan dominated the opening round and ended the fight in the second after dropping Hopewell with a right hand, prompting the referee to wave it off.
Tiah Mai Ayton continued her strong run with a fourth round stoppage of Stevi Levy. Ayton controlled the entire action and forced a stoppage after hurting Levy with a right hand, leading Levy’s corner to intervene.
Junaid Bostan won an eight round decision over Mohammed Graich, the referee scored it 80-72. Louie Ward took a four-round decision over Jesus Carrasco, 40-36.
Harley Burrows defeated Lewis Howells in four rounds, scoring a knockout in the second with a body shot. Burrows controlled the fight from there, winning a 40-35 decision.
