“As a player, he was disciplined, dedicated and strong despite the many struggles that injury sidelined him throughout his career. We are all saddened that he will not be able to live out his NFL dream and we will not all have the opportunity to watch him flourish.”
The Cardinals said they were “devastated and saddened.”
“Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, teammates, and everyone who loved him and had the privilege of knowing such a special person,” the team said.
Louisville Cardinals coach Jeff Brohm also released a statement. He was Purdue’s head coach while Moore was there.
