ChatGPT Go, Plus and Pro
ChatGPT’s premium pricing is straightforward and it’s easy to understand what its features and limitations are.
The first paid version of OpenAI, Go, is its new app. For just $8 a month, you’ll get higher limits and more access across the board. That said, if you’re looking to avoid ChatGPT ads, you won’t be able to do so with this program and you’ll need to skip to the next section to opt out.
The second premium plan is ChatGPT Plus, which opens the door to expansion GPT-5.5 access and higher limits for messaging, uploading, data analysis and image production. You will also get an advanced voice mode with video and screen sharing and a ChatGPT agent.
If you want more, you can choose one of ChatGPT’s Pro plans, which cost $100-$200 per month. The $100 plan will give you 5x usage and the $200 plan gives you 20x more usage. Pro plans will offer Pro thinking with ChatGPT 5.5 Pro, Maximum Codex functions, and unlimited file uploads and image processing. The programs also offer users high memory, deep research and agent mode. Those on Pro plans will get first dibs on trying new ChatGPT features.

Google AI Plus, Pro and AI Ultra
Google’s Gemini might be the most affordable chatbot of them all, and its high-end price range is in line with the competition.
With Gemini, Google is integrated into the heart of the chatbot function, making it a great option for Google users.
Despite the abundance of features in the Google AI Pro program, the free version of Gemini offers plenty for most people. Like ChatGPT, Google also introduced an $8 plan. The Plus plan offers 200GB of storage and additional access to the latest Gemini models. Once you start shelling out some money for Google’s AI programs, higher usage access and other features follow.
AI Pro by Google offers more features throughout the program than the free and Plus version, unlocks Gemini in Google Workspace apps, 1,000 credits The flow a tool for making movies with the most advanced models in Search AI mode. It’s not limited to Gemini, though. You’ll also get 5TB of storage for Google Photos, Drive and Gmail, and the YouTube Premium Lite plan. This program also includes a 10% credit on purchases from the Google Store.
During Google I/O 2026, AI subscriptions were shaken again. There are now two AI Ultra programs that unlock unique features and higher usage limits.
The newest plan is the AI Ultra ($100), which offers 5x higher usage limits compared to the AI Pro Plan. A $100 option provides access Gemini 3.5 Flashpriority access to Google Antigravity and the YouTube Premium Individual program. Google says the program was designed specifically for developers, technology leaders, knowledge workers and advanced creators.
The top tier of Google’s AI subscription is now a $200 plan, down $50 from when it launched. This plan offers 20x higher usage limits compared to the $100 plan.
Both AI Ultra programs provide access The Gemini Sparka 24/7 Google agent that can work for you and run errands for you. It can go into other Google products and do things for you in the background — as long as you’re willing provide your additional data.
Finally, the $200 AI Ultra plan gives subscribers access to Project Genie, an advanced generative AI model that can create 3D worlds of anything you want.
The pilot
Microsoft’s Copilot has the advantage of being pre-installed on most Windows computers, making it incredibly accessible (like Gemini on Android). Although based on ChatGPT models with Microsoft Graph, Copilot feels unique enough to be its own thing.
To my surprise, Copilot produced the most interesting images when I compared it to other chatbots. Sometimes Gemini and ChatGPT produce similar images, but Copilot almost always produces something completely different. Even though I don’t do it that often, I still consider it a priority.
Like Google, Copilot integrates well with Microsoft 365 applications, although some of its features are locked behind Microsoft 365 Business, like its NotebookLM competitor, Copilot Notebooks. Besides jumping to 365 for business, Copilot offers three plans that give you access to higher limits and allow you to use them in selected Microsoft 365 applications. Advanced programs will also give you access to in-depth research models and actions, allowing Copilot to fill out forms for you or help you make purchases.
Confusion
The top tiers of Perplexity’s premium bundles are its AI Comet browser
Confused is our favorite research chatbot, but the free version limits you to three Pro searches and Research usage per day. That might be fine for casual users, but those really trying to tap into the power of Perplexity will want a little more of everything, and you’ll need to pony up $20 a month to keep it going.
Perplexity Pro will give you unlimited Pro Search and unlimited file uploads, with more file uploads per slot. It will also unlock image reproduction and access to more advanced models than the standard “best” model in the free version.
Perplexity also has Comet, its limited-access web browser baked into AI. Pro and Max subscribers get Comet Plus included in their subscription.
Claude Pro and Max
Premium Claude plans have vague limitations.
The paid version of Anthropic’s Claude matches the competition, which costs $20 per month, and boasts 5x usage per session compared to the free version during peak hours, although limitations remain. Basically, if you send basic questions of 200 English sentences, each about 15 to 20 words, you will be able to send about 45 messages every 5 hours with Claude Pro.
Despite taking the top spot on our best chatbot list, Anthropic’s pricing page for Claude’s Pro and Max plans feels dry compared to others on the list. The first feature of the $20 Pro plan that has “more uses” is quickly followed by an asterisk that points to the limitations of the Pro plans. Such limitations are to be expected for anything that isn’t a high-end system, but it seems to depend on how you use Claude. In addition to additional uses, the Pro plan will unlock Code Claude, unlimited Projects, access to research mode and additional models.
The Max plan offers more usage than the Pro plan, increases the exit limits for all activities, provides priority access during traffic times and provides early access to new Claude features. This collision may be useful for Claude power users out there and it costs $100 per person per month.
Grok
Grok is the most expensive chatbot in the area.
Grok’s premium tiers are more expensive to use, either monthly or annually. The first premium tier, SuperGrok, will extend access to both Grok 3 and 4, expand token limits to 128,000, give you priority voice access, and include the Imagine graphics model. It costs $30 a month, or $300 a year. This section also opens access to Ani and Valentine’s AI friends.
The next tier is SuperGrok Heavy, and it’s a lot “above” what you get from SuperGrok for $300 a month or $3,000 a year. This tier will give you preview access to Grok 4 Heavy, extended access to Grok 4, and unlimited access to Grok 3. SuperGrok Heavy has a higher number of tokens and early access to new features.
