A TPUSA reporter fell to the ground at an ICE protest in Minneapolis

Frontline TPUSA reporter Savanah Hernandez was attacked while covering an ICE protest in Minneapolis on Saturday.

At the Whipple Federal Building, there were protests about the local ICE office that also serves as a detention center.

Protesters fired at Hernandez, honking horns in front of his face, shouting and waving adult products in front of him, as he tried to cover himself and run away.

“Get the if— out of here,” one protester can be heard shouting repeatedly at Hernandez.

Hernandez escaped the crowd of protesters and said, “get away from me” to a protester who continued to approach him. The protester then pushed Hernandez, who fell onto the barbed wire.

Hernandez got up and tried to leave again, while yelling at the protesters to get away from him.

Another protester tried to argue with Hernandez, but he managed to get away.

“Stop touching me!” Hernandez fired back at the protesters, and soon after, an older man was seen pushing Hernandez forward onto the concrete.

The protesters continued to push Hernandez when he tried to get up and leave, and he was thrown to the ground again.

“Stop me, I’m trying to leave!” Hernandez shouted at one point.

In the video, some people who were at the scene said they tried to help Hernandez escape the violent protesters, saying they stopped people from hitting him.

Some people in the protest seem to be trying to silence others.

Following this, Hernandez sent to X to receive a minor injury.

He wrote, “Thank you to everyone who came to check on me today. My legs are scratched and my neck and back are sore, but I’m safe and doing well. I was horrified that American pockets are dangerous and uncivilized.”

He also said that three people, including the man who was seen pushing him down hard, have been charged in this incident.

According to Fox 9 Minneapolis, the County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident. Fox 9 executives reported that four people will be charged in connection with Saturday’s protest, three of them for assaulting a reporter and a deputy.

Freedom broadcaster Andrew Mercado sent to X, in part, “what happened next should not have happened. Savannah was filming, not participating with anyone, and it escalated into a physical fight that finally gave the law enforcement a reason to intervene and declare an illegal meeting, they shut down the entire demonstration.”

Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon confirmed to X that the FBI has opened an investigation into the attack on Hernandez.
