We draw a red line: Pass the SAVE America Act or nothing moves

NEWNow you can listen to Fox News articles!

Wednesday marks one month since House Republicans took the courage to fight for the soul of our democracy by passing the SAVE America Act.

This common-sense law requires proof of citizenship to vote and voter ID — basic steps any American can support. However, in the marble halls of the Senate, Majority Leader John Thune, RS.D., is playing games, refusing to even bring the bill to the floor for debate.

Enough is enough. It’s time for House Republicans to draw a line in the sand: We are committed to voting no on any Senate legislation until the upper chamber stops dragging its feet and passes the SAVE America Act.

THE HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE TO THE ‘TALKING FILIBUSTER’ AND THE LAST ACT

Let’s be clear about what is at stake. In an era when our elections are under constant threat of fraud, illegal votes and shadow influence, the SAVE America Act isn’t just a policy — it’s a republican way of life.

Requiring proof of citizenship ensures that the voices of America’s elders shape America’s future. Voter ID? That is not contradictory; it is important.

We’ve seen chaos in states without these protections – ballots cast by non-citizens, dead voters mysteriously rising from the grave, and the harvesting of questionable ballots with the power to tip the scales in favor of the left. Americans know this.

A whopping 71% of all Americans support these electoral integrity reforms. That’s not just conservatives; that of independents, moderates and even some Democrats.

In an era when our elections are under constant threat of fraud, illegal votes and shadow influence, the SAVE America Act isn’t just a policy — it’s a republican way of life.

While the American people want real action to protect our elections, Senate Republicans are twiddling their thumbs with a sense of glee that would make a circus performer blush. Last month alone, they found time to pass a resolution to celebrate the Mardi Gras dog show in the Senate. The Republican majority can and should do better.

Just last week, the House passed the Thune Tribal Trust Land Homeownership Act – a majority of conservatives in the House voted no because it’s annoying that we’re fast-tracking existing bills while electoral integrity reforms are stalled in the Senate. If they can’t get their spine together on real issues, why reward their inaction?

DAVID MARCUS: PASSING THE SAVE AMERICA ACT TO SAVE CORNYN IS A LOT OF MONEY.

Over the weekend, President Donald Trump put it simply: He will not sign any legislation that crosses his desk until the SAVE America Act is passed. President Trump understands what elites in Washington often forget – that our elections are the bedrock of freedom. Without safe voting, everything else collapses: our economy, our borders, our very way of life.

Progressive Democrats and their media allies complain about “voter suppression” and “Jim Crow 2.0,” but that’s just code for open-door fraud. They fear the SAVE America Act because it levels the playing field, making sure that every vote is legal and every illegal vote doesn’t.

House Republicans, we have the power – and the duty – to force the Senate’s hand. The bottom line is this: We are committed to voting no on bills from the Senate until they prioritize the SAVE America Act. No more dog show decisions. No more niche law. Nothing goes until the integrity of the election. This is not a blur; it is a principle.

We’ve seen what happens when we compromise the swamp – endless handouts to special interests while the American worker is laid off. By holding firm, we are not only protecting votes; we honor the millions who showed up in 2024 to return our country to the Biden-Harris nightmare.

Critics may cry that our strategy is “prohibition,” but let’s call it what it is: Thune and his team are true obstructionists, moving slowly through the most popular bill while chasing fringe interests.

Force a debate – put the Democrats on the Senate floor in full “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, making them own their bosses: “Yes, we want non-citizens to vote in our elections.”

Democrats can talk for a long time before the question comes down to a simple majority vote, and the SAVE America Act will be on its way to President Trump’s desk.

This is the war of the American people. They put up with opportunities for theft, high prices and open borders under a democratic regime. The SAVE America Act is our chance to close a consistent win for good.
