Celtic have joined rivals Rangers in the race to sign Dundee FC star Luke Graham

Celtic have now entered the race to sign the Premiership’s “best player” star ahead of rivals Rangers, with clubs looking to sign him.
Celtic and Rangers fight for the SPL stars
The Scottish Premiership title race is well underway, and it’s currently in favor of Hearts, with the Edinburgh side sitting five points clear at the top, thanks to a very favorable weekend of results.
Derek McInnes’ side beat Aberdeen 1-0 at Tynecastle, before Rangers and Celtic drew 2-2 at Ibrox, Reo Hatate rescuing a point for the visitors in stoppage time, slotting home after his first penalty was saved by Jack Butland.
Martin O’Neill has now urged January recruits to step it up, as we approach the business end of the season, saying: “We’ve taken players who, whatever they say about it, could have played in the big leagues. But this is necessary – it’s not as necessary as going to Ibrox for the first time.
“But yeah, now that they’ve seen what this is about, you want them to come in and make an impact in the last few months of the season.”
O’Neill will leave in the summer, but while the 74-year-old’s successor has yet to be named, the Hoops are already making plans for the summer transfer window.
It has now been revealed that the Glasgow giants are neck and neck with Rangers in the race to sign Kilmarnock midfielder David Watson, but he is not the only Scottish Premiership star they have.
According to a Sports Boom report, Celtic are now in the race for Dundee FC star Luke Graham, who Rangers have been eyeing for a long time, and Barry Ferguson is considered a big fan.
Dundee are looking to land £2m – £2.5m for the defender, amid widespread interest, with Brentford, Portsmouth and Lincoln City also said to be interested.
Graham could be a “good” signing for Celtic
Scotland U21s coach Scot Gemmill is very fond of the 22-year-old, saying earlier this season: “Luke is good. He is obviously playing at Premiership level now. He is doing very well. He was outstanding in the Czech Republic.
Not only has the Scotland defender impressed for his national team, he has averaged 1.0 blocks per 90 in the Scottish Premiership this season, the most of any Dundee player, with an average of 1.2 blocks per 90 which ranks him second.
The SFA will investigate the Rangers v Celtic John Beaton penalty, says a former PMGOL official.
There has been a lot of controversy behind the Old Firm…
There are questions about Celtic’s defense as they have scored 30 goals in the Scottish Premiership this season, more than Hearts, Rangers and Motherwell.
Therefore, it would be a smart move to bring in a new defender this summer, and Graham is ready to step up from Dundee.
