It’s officially the second half of 2026, which will be about Grand Theft Auto 6. Until then, Sony has a new selection of games coming to PS Plus in July including Avatar: Frontier of Pandora, Dying Light and a few classic PlayStation 2 games.
PS Plus, which is Sony’s version of Xbox Game Pass, offers a large, ever-growing library of games. Subscribers can choose from Essential, Extra and Premium tiers, each with unique benefits and advantages. Starting at $11 per month, the plans give subscribers access to games and prizes, and each month, all subscribers can play a few new games at no extra charge.

Avatar: Pandora’s Box
Avatar: The Frontiers of Pandora came out in 2023, a year after Avatar: The Way of Water was released in theaters. Developed by Massive Entertainment – part of Ubisoft – the open-world action-adventure puts players in the role of Na’vi raised by the Resource Development Administration, or RDA, before returning to protect Pandora. Set in the previously unseen Western Frontier, the game emphasizes exploration, air travel in ikran and combat using both traditional Na’vi weapons and human firearms. While its gameplay shares many similarities with the Far Cry series, its beautiful environments and faithful recreation of Pandora have won praise from critics.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers from July 21.
Rise of the Ronin
Team Ninja went a different route than their usual Ninja Gaiden style with 2024’s Rise of the Ronin. Set during Japan’s turbulent Bakumatsu period in the late 19th century, the open-world RPG lets players shape the story along competing political factions. Combat combines fast-paced swordplay with guns and other weapons from the period and challenging gameplay that the studio is known for. Its integration of historical events, exploration and player-driven choices helped set it apart from previous Team Ninja action games.
Rise of the Ronin is now available for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
Fire Fighting Simulator: Base
Firefighting Simulator: Ignite puts players in the role of a firefighter responding to emergencies in a fictional metropolis in the American Midwest. Whether playing solo with AI teammates or with up to three friends, players battle raging fires, rescue civilians and use realistic firefighting equipment to contain the increasingly dangerous flames. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, the game features real-time fire, smoke and heat simulation designed to create a realistic firefighting experience.
Fire Simulator: Ignite will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers from July 21.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Flashback
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is a real nostalgia bomb of a game. The side-scrolling beat-’em-up reimagines the classic 1990s TV series with visual pixel art, multiplayer co-op and familiar villains, including a robot version of Rita Repulsa. Players battle through stages inspired by the show before exploring Dinozords and Megazords in 3D action sequences that break up traditional brawler gameplay.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers from July 28.
The Dying Light
It’s been more than a decade since Ding Light was released, but it’s still a title that gamers are interested in. Players explore the zombie-infested city of Harran using a fast-paced parking system that makes traversing rooftops as important as combat. Scavenging for supplies, crafting weapons and surviving the ever-changing cycle of the night keeps tensions high as a deadly virus emerges after dark. Its fluid movements and heavy mechanics helped make it one of the most popular zombie games of its generation.
Ding Light will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers from July 21.
Sleep Citizen 2: Starward Vector
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector builds on its predecessor by sending players into a lawless star system as an escaped android seeking freedom. Rather than focusing on traditional combat, the game emphasizes dialogue, dice-based skill testing and resource management as players assemble a team and take on dangerous contracts. Its choice-driven storytelling and tabletop-inspired mechanics make every decision feel logical, in many ways shaping how the story unfolds.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will be available to PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers from July 28.
Snow Bros. Wonderland
Snow Bros. Wonderland revives the long-running arcade franchise with a new 3D isometric look while staying true to its classic action-platforming roots. Players freeze enemies into snowballs before kicking them around each stage to defeat other enemies and collect combos. Co-op play, colorful environments and larger-than-life boss battles help modernize the series without losing the appeal that made the original games fan favorites.

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy
Psi-Ops: Mindgate Conspiracy was first released for the PS2 in 2004 and featured a mix of exciting physics gameplay that was a huge trend in sports at the time. Players control Nick Scryer, a secret agent who combines a conventional gun with psychic abilities such as telekinesis, mind control and pyrokinesis to take down enemies. The game’s physics-based abilities encouraged creative problem-solving and helped it stand out from other shooters of its time, making it a cult following years after its release.
Psi-Ops: Mindgate Conspiracy will be available to PS Plus Premium subscribers from July 21.
The Indigo Prophecy
Before making a name for itself with the games Heavy Rain and Detroit: Become Human, developer Quantic Dream first attempted a more action-oriented point-and-click adventure gameplay with Indigo Prophecy. The supernatural thriller follows several interconnected characters as they investigate a series of mysterious murders while uncovering a conspiracy that threatens humanity. Its cinematic presentation, branching narrative and fast-paced events helped lay the groundwork for the studio’s later interactive dramas.
Indigo Prophecy will be available to PS Plus Premium subscribers from July 21.
