Rangers are now battling billionaire owners to sign the former Kilmarnock defender

As Celtic continue to question the transfer market, Rangers continue to receive surprise reinforcements.

It looks like the deal is back for Jens Hjerto-Dahl, and Vanja Dragojevi is also on the way.

The pair may join six other new facs at Ibrox, but the Gers aren’t done there yet. Ibrox are also now looking at Kilmarnock defender Corrie Ndaba.

The left-back has spent a year at Italian club Lecce and may be on his way back to the Scottish Premiership.

He’s not ignorant, that’s for sure. Ndaba played 54 games in the SPFL during his time at Kilmarnock.

Honesty

Not all Rangers like Ndaba. The 26-year-old has also attracted Strasbourg, who are owned by billionaire owners BlueCo. That could complicate matters for the Gers if a bidding war breaks out and they are left scrambling to match the French’s finances.

Finance

It will be seen how much Lecce costs to sell Ndaba this summer. The left-back only arrived 12 months ago, but cost less than £1m. Even if the Italian club are looking to make a profit, this should be an affordable deal for those at Ibrox.

Understanding

The former Kilmarnock man started six Serie A games last season. To say his trip to Italy didn’t work out would be an understatement. He now needs to leave Lecce and perhaps return to the Scottish Premiership, where he started 35 games in the 2024/25 campaign.

Impact

With Jayden Meghoma back from Brentford following his loan spell last season, Rangers are in need of a left-back and signing someone who knows Scottish football well is a very good idea – making Ndaba a strong side when he arrives.

Although things are not looking good in Italy, Ndaba is still making a name for himself as a left-back in Scotland and could return to the SPFL for Rangers.

Rangers battle Strasbourg to sign Corrie Ndaba

According to reports transmitted by the Daily Record, Rangers are fighting for Strasbourg to sign Ndaba from Lecce this summer.

This French club is owned by the billionaires in BlueCo, who own Chelsea, which may complicate things. The Gers may hope the left-back prefers to return to Scotland.

Meghoma’s return to Brentford has hurt the Ibrox team, but statistics indicate that Ndaba will quickly improve this young man.

In his last spell in Scotland, the former Kilmarnick star outplayed the young Brentford defender in almost every department. Add his experience on top of that and Rangers will be signing yet another impressive star.
