A YouTuber has responded to an indie film feature by filmmaker Curry Barker Infatuation it was the surprise hit of the season. Not only did it exceed expectations at the box office, grossing over $400 million worldwide, but it has also become Focus Features’ highest-grossing film of all time.
Leading lady Inde Navarrette’s performance as Nikki was praised by audiences and critics alike (including Mashable’s Kristy Puchko). Even horror actor Stephen King said he can’t stop thinking about the mix of horror and comedy.
If you missed the twisted movie in theaters, it’s officially available to watch at home this month. But you’ll have to wait a little longer for its first broadcast. Here’s all the information you need to know to watch it Infatuation.
What Infatuation about?
Infatuation it’s a classic case of “be careful what you wish for.” It follows a lonely young man Bear (Michael Johnston) who to crush watching his friend Nikki (Navarrette). He’s not very good at talking to women, let alone falling in love, so when he gets his hands on “One Wish Willow” he promises to make his dream come true, he wants Nikki to love him more than anyone. As you can imagine, things don’t go as planned.

A little over a month after its theatrical release, Infatuation makes its digital debut on June 30, 2026. That means you can buy or rent a movie from on-demand retailers. If you choose to rent, you’ll get 30 days to watch the movie and just 48 hours to finish it once you start. If you choose to buy it, then it is yours to keep and look at forever.

Broadcasting on Peacock
Although we don’t have an exact release date for the stream yet Infatuationwe know that it will first appear in Peacock. The NBC Universal streaming service is the first stop for Focus Features films in theaters. Based on other recent Focus Features films (Blue Song, Hamnet, Bugonia), we can make an educated guess that Infatuation will air in August 2026 on Peacock.
Note that this is a Focus Features license deal gives Netflix a 10-month streaming window after the premiere of The Peacock, before returning it to Peacock. If you have a Netflix subscription, you can wait a while and stream Obsession without having to subscribe to another service.
While a Peacock subscription costs just $7.99 a month, it unfortunately won’t give you access to the theatrical release. Instead, you’ll need at least Peacock Premium, which costs $10.99 per month. Before you sign up, be sure to check out the best ways to save money on signing up below.
