Spurs open talks to sign potential ‘£100m+’ player

For Eli Junior Kroupi, the 2025/26 season is one that will live long in the memory. A prolific campaign has seen him attract interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur.

The Lilywhites are planning an £85m bid to lure him away from the Vitality Stadium but this will not be easy to do.

Bournemouth are not looking to sell and have many suitors. After all, he is one of the best young strikers in the world right now.

Last quarter, the French player scored 13 goals. In context, no youngster has ever scored more goals in his first Premier League season. This 19-year-old boy has a good and strong talent.

That said, he is not the only powerful striker on Tottenham’s radar this summer.

Spurs are looking to sign Europe’s biggest stars

This has been a strong summer of spending for Spurs but it must not stop there. If they were able to seal the £85m signing of Kroupi it would be as good as Sandro Tonali’s £100m transfer.

Roberto De Zerbi has already strengthened the defense and midfield but the next task is to give him more power in the final third.

Alongside Kroupi, the Lilywhites are eyeing deals for AC Milan striker Rafael Leao while Manchester City’s Omar Marmoush and Savinho are also being looked at.

Adding to their short list of wingers is Norwegian star Antonio Nusa. This is according to a reliable source from Spurs, Szyexcl, which is the channel that reported the Mateus Fernandes saga so accurately.

They reported that although the Spurs had ‘good discussions’ with Leao’s camp, they also opened discussions with Nusa representatives in the past weeks.

It is worth noting that his camp was mentioned ‘a few weeks ago’ but for now, Leao is the first target.

Currently at German club RB Leipzig, it was previously revealed that it would take around £52m to lure him to the Premier League.

Why Antonio Nusa is fun as Junior Kroupi

Right now, there are very few more exciting young footballers in world football than Kroupi. His first campaign in England was electrifying and he barely tried to defend himself in the league.

He is definitely a goal scorer that the famous goal against Manchester City that secured Arsenal the title. He also scored twice for the Gunners and found the net in both games against Manchester United. Spurs were also victims of his goalscoring.

Possessing pace, intelligence, tactics and a ferocious nature in front of goal, there are very few better young players in Europe’s top five leagues right now.

That said, Nusa is a big part of the same conversation. In Leipzig last term, all attention was on Yan Diomande. The Ivory Coast midfielder is one of the most wanted players in the transfer window this summer and looks set to leave Germany behind.

Diomande scored 13 goals and provided 10 for his teammates but when the Ivorian did that, Nusa was also playing on the left side. In fact, the tally of five goals and four assists in 35 games doesn’t tell the whole story for the 21-year-old.

Indeed, like Diomande, this is one of the most exciting young players on the continent right now. As for what the future holds, he could be right up there with Kroupi in terms of talent.

After all, the Norwegian – who scored a goal for his country at the World Cup – has been labeled by writer and commentator Harvey Diamonds as a “potential £100m+ defender.”

Explaining his progress in Norway, Gaute Nilsen who oversees youth development in Stabaek, once said: “Erling Haaland has improved a lot but when they are both 14 or 15 years old I think Antonio. [Nusa] he was more talented.” Really nice words.

So, why all the hype? However, he has explosive speed and his direct nature is second to none. Among young players in Europe’s top five leagues last season, Nusa ranked in the top 5% for best drives per 90 minutes at 3.01. He also sat in the top 5 percent in carries at 5.31 out of 90. The wide man also ranked among the top 6 percent in shooting carries. In that respect, you can say that he is very similar to Heung-min Son.

Care is considered continuous if the ball is moved towards a player’s goal at least 10 yards from its starting point or into the penalty area.

He is still only 21, like Kroupi, he has his whole career ahead of him and it would be great to see the pair in the same attack at Spurs. Their forward line could be set for the next decade.
