Jaron admitted in the post-fight press conference that at times he wasn’t as aggressive as he should have been, choosing not to listen to his corner using his jab and speed but choosing to throw one shot that led to that eventful third round.

Xander connected flush with two separate right hands, with what appeared to be widely spaced boots. Zayas outshot Ennis in that round, 28 to 19, leading to the most exciting round of the fight. This moment led Vergil Ortiz to write on X, “Yes, I sleep Jaron.”

Although Ennis may have been injured, he continued to take turns. There has been a moment in every major fighter’s division where they are tested with a punch that surprises them or knocks them down, but they make adjustments and win the fight. This was Bhuti’s time. Terence Crawford faced Yuriorkis Gamboa, Floyd Mayweather faced Shane Mosley, and Andre Ward faced Sergey Kovalev. All those fighters overcame their challenging moment and won the battle; Jaron did the same. He will get better going forward and he knows he needs to get better in the future.

In a statement released after the fight, he said he now has things to work on in the lab.

With the win, the Boots moved up to the division level. The Ring now ranks Ennis as the top junior middleweight, ranking him first in the division and ninth overall in the pound-for-pound ratings.

Jaron is the only holder of multiple belts in the junior middleweight division as well
unlike other champions, it is undefeated. Ortiz was previously ranked first but dropped to second after Saturday’s results.

When asked by the media about Ortiz’s comments about putting him to sleep, Jaron responded with the question, “Why didn’t he [Vergil] did you take the fight in the first place?” That is, why didn’t he take the fight that was given to him?

Eddie Hearn told the press in the newspaper that he is already receiving calls from Luis De Cubas Jr. about a possible fight between Boot and Sebastian Fundora, who is the WBC junior middleweight champion. However, conflicting reports are coming in, as Boxing Scene reported today that Fundora’s manager, Sampson Lewkowicsz, said Sebastian should fight his opponent, Ermal Hadribeaj, which is mandatory.

Ubuthi made it known to the media that his first goal is to become the undisputed champion. He aims to target other divisional champions. If he continues with this statement, next would be IBF junior middleweight champion Josh Kelly. As long as both sides can agree on terms, it would be an easy fight to make as both fighters are promoted by Matchroom.

Hearn told the media that Zayas has a rematch rule; if he exercised that right, he would receive immediate retribution. However, it appears that Xander may be considering his options and opting to move up to 160 pounds to challenge for the title there. Being a unified champion makes Boots more powerful in the upcoming games, as he is now one of the most struggling players in this division.
