‘Lilo & Stitch’ star Daveigh Chase’s cause of death has been revealed

The official cause of death for Daveigh Chase was released Monday, two weeks after the child’s death. He was 35 years old.
Chase’s primary cause of death was acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), according to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s office.
Chronic polysubstance use was listed as a significant contributing factor to his death.

Chronic polysubstance use is defined as the repeated, long-term use of two or more substances (such as illegal drugs, prescription drugs, or alcohol) at the same time or over a short period of time, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
The manner of his death was considered natural, and when he died at the hospital, his body was not brought to the coroner’s office.

Chase’s father, John Schwallier, previously told NBC News via text that his daughter “died from complications of bacterial meningitis and a blood infection.”
Additionally, she said Chase was “severely malnourished.”

His former manager, John Ryan Jr., disputed the claims made in a recent fundraising campaign published before reports of Chase’s death began to spread.
“Daveigh’s estate has many ways to pay for cremation,” Ryan said in a statement Deadline. “John is her relative and has never signed any papers for this so-called boyfriend.”
TMZ is the first to report Chase’s death through her boyfriend named Roy Hernandez.

“GoFundMe will not cover Daveigh’s expenses,” Ryan told the outlet. “Me, his father, his uncle and all of us his close friends for decades are encouraging people not to donate to this page.”

“The man who made these allegations admitted him to the hospital in a bad condition and did not tell anyone in the family until he passed so that he could control the conversation. Daveigh’s family is in charge of all the arrangements. We contacted GoFundMe to inform them that this man started this page alone under Daveigh’s name when he did not respond and urged people not to contribute.”

Chase found fame at a young age when he was cast as the voice of Lilo at the age of eight, and worked with Tia Carrere and Chris Sanders to deliver the song. Disney’s Oscar-winning animated film in life.
In addition to voicing Lilo in the film, Chase filmed more than 60 episodes of “Lilo & Stitch: The Series” and portrayed the character in various video games and multimedia projects.
