11 deals after Apple’s Big Day: Lock in MacBook and iPad prices

If you’re shopping for new Apple gadgets after the Big Day, you’re still in luck. While some of the Amazon deals are over, we still have plenty of Apple deals at Walmart. And the timing couldn’t be better because earlier this week, Apple raised some of its prices due to a global RAM shortage. AirPods and Apple Watches aren’t affected (yet), but all MacBooks and iPads are now at least $100 cheaper than before — even the budget MacBook Neo.

Some MacBooks and iPads are now sold out on Amazon (and other major retailers) following a price hike. However, many models are still available there at steep discounts. They are no longer listed as being on sale, but they are more expensive than what the Apple Store charges. See: entry-level iPad, 11-inch M4 iPad Air, 15-inch M5 MacBook Air, and 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro.

That difficulty aside, I’m happy (relieved?) to say that the best Prime Day deals on Apple Watches, AirPods, and Apple accessories like AirTags are still holding strong even after the sale. Remember that they probably won’t last long. Meditate at your own risk.

The best Prime Day AirPods deal is still live

Apple’s stylish over-ear headphones were updated in April with the H2 chip, which brings better noise cancellation and support for software features like Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, and Live Translation. They’re down to just $399 – a 27% savings and their lowest price ever (by a lot). Amazon’s stock has sold off at this price, but it’s still holding on to Walmart in blue and purple. This is a pretty good deal, considering that the original AirPods Max took several years to hit the same price.

The best Prime Day Apple Watch deal is still live

The Apple Watch Series 11 has dropped to a new record low Prime Day price, and the deal is still live. Amazon has marked it down to just $279, which is 30% off its usual $399 MSRP. (It was $20 cheaper during Amazon’s Big Spring sale a few months ago.) Apple’s latest wearable supports features like hypertension alerts and Sleep Score. Compared to its predecessor, it has a less sensitive display and longer battery life. Choose from two different case and band combinations, but we’re sorry to say that the new gray bezel isn’t part of the $279 deal.

The classic iPad is our favorite Apple tablet for budget shoppers and kids. It has a great screen and six hours of battery life, and it performs on par with other premium Chromebooks we’ve tested. The base model with 128GB of storage sits at $299 at Walmart after Big Day, which is 33% off its new MSRP of $449. (Get an Apple Pencil on sale or a Magic Keyboard Folio while you’re at it, too.) This deal is on sale at Amazon.

The best Prime Day MacBook deal is still live

If you need a sleek, portable, and powerful new laptop, the latest MacBook Air is easy to recommend. Its slim all-aluminum design (available in four colors) features a haptic touchpad, a 12MP webcam, and a punchy Liquid Retina display. Its M5 chip makes it faster than most Windows laptops in almost any situation. Many models are out of stock on Amazon after Apple’s price hike, but the starlight 15-inch model is still in stock at its Prime Day price of $1,149.99 a day after the sale. That’s $350 off its new high MSRP of $1,499, and $50 off its record low since Memorial Day. You can get a similar deal at a Costco membership without this.

The best after Prime Day AirTag deal

Here’s our first-ever discount on the second-generation AirTag, Apple’s recently updated Bluetooth tracker. It does not look different from the first version presented in 2021, but it has a loud speaker and a much wider range. Grab the $89 four-pack for the best price (regularly $99) – that works out to $22.25 per AirTag. If you only need one or two, you’ll pay $24 each after Big Day (normally $29). Best Buy and Walmart both had the same deal, FYI.
