“The new variety complements Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup and Banza’s popular gluten-free chickpea penne pasta, bringing the classic flavor fans know and love,” Campbell’s announced in a news release.
According to the company, nearly 30% of the US population is actively seeking gluten-free options, “and the US gluten-free market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 9.8% from 2026 to 2033.”
Gluten is a type of protein found in certain grains and is common in bread, pasta, baked goods and some sauces and soups. Celiac disease is an autoimmune disease that causes the body to attack the small intestine when a person eats gluten.
About 1% of the population has celiac disease, but “only about 30% are correctly diagnosed,” reports the Celiac Disease Foundation (CDF).
Many people believe they have non-celiac gluten sensitivity or non-celiac wheat sensitivity rather than celiac disease, although the exact numbers remain uncertain.

According to the CDF, people with gluten sensitivity can experience depression, ADHD-like behavior, stomach pain, constipation, diarrhea, constipation, headaches, bone or joint pain and chronic fatigue when they have gluten in their diet.
“For more than 125 years, Campbell’s Chicken Noodle Soup has been a staple in American households,” said Benjamin Crook, senior vice president of soups at Campbell’s Company. “Partnering with Banza allows us to bring that classic chicken noodle flavor to a growing number of people looking for gluten-free options, made with ingredients like No Antibiotics Ever chicken and Banza’s chickpea pasta variety that will stand out on the shelf.”
The new chicken noodle soup is available now on Amazon and will be distributed to retailers nationwide, the company announced.
