David Moyes thinks the former Man United player is “right” for Everton as talks are expected

Everton’s summer transfer plans are starting to take shape as David Moyes looks to strengthen several areas of his squad ahead of the new season, with both midfield and defense expected to be key priorities.
One name heavily linked with the Toffees this week has been Middlesbrough midfielder Hayden Hackney.
Several reports have suggested that Everton are monitoring the England under-21 international, who continues to attract interest from the Premier League after another fine campaign in the Championship.
Hackney is regarded as one of the brightest young midfielders in the division, and Everton are understood to admire his technical quality and ability to dictate play in deep areas.
David Ornstein even reported that Hill Dickinson Stadium is Hackney’s favorite when it comes to the summer transfer.

Everton have joined Leeds in the race to sign the former Aston Villa star who is set to leave the club
The Toffees are looking to strengthen a key place in Moyes’ squad.
The Toffees have also been linked with Man City defender Nathan Ake in recent days, and reports continue to suggest that Moyes wants to add proven Premier League experience to the rest of the squad as Everton look to build a solid first full campaign under his leadership.
Another position expected to receive significant attention is right back.
Everton found themselves lacking natural options in that area last season.
Jake O’Brien was often deployed on the right side of defense despite being a full-back by trade, while long-serving captain Seamus Coleman is no longer part of the squad after his contract expired.
That situation has naturally led to speculation about possible reinforcements, and one familiar name has been addressed personally by Moyes.
David Moyes thinks Aaron Wan-Bissaka is ‘perfect’ for Everton
According to ExWHUemployee at West Ham, Everton are showing a genuine interest in Aaron Wan-Bissaka, and Moyes believes he sees the defender as the right solution to his concerns at right-back.
Speaking on the West Ham Way Patreon, Ex also said that it is expected that Everton and West Ham will hold more discussions about players in the coming weeks, due to the communication between both clubs.
“Many clubs are looking at Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a potential right back.
“David Moyes has been playing with Jake O’Brien at right back this season and veteran Seamus Coleman has also left the team.
“Moyes has always been a fan at right-back and it is thought he will see him as the perfect solution to his problems at right-back.
“Everton have been linked with a number of our players because of the obvious link with the former manager. He has obviously worked with others and maintained a good relationship with the board at West Ham which is thought to have facilitated negotiations.
“There is also contact with Everton’s CEO, Angus Kinnear, who has worked at West Ham for the past four years, so it is expected that there will be more discussions between the two clubs in the coming weeks.
This report is interesting given the way Moyes praises the player.
Although Wan-Bissaka did not play under Moyes at West Ham, with the Scot leaving east London shortly before he was signed, the Everton manager is understood to admire the defender’s long-term qualities.
At Everton, the appeal is easy to understand.
At 28, Wan-Bissaka will bring extensive Premier League experience, athleticism and defensive stability to a position that lacked a specialist option for much of last season.
The Man United full-back’s ability to shut down opposition players on a good day would also fit naturally with the disciplined defensive structure favored by Moyes.
Whether the deal will ultimately come to fruition remains to be seen, but the logic behind Everton’s reported interest is clear.
Moyes is looking for a right-back, and Wan-Bissaka’s experience and profile make him a perfect fit for the role Everton are looking to fill this summer.
West Ham’s need to balance the books after their relegation from the Championship also opens the door for Moyes to poach Wan-Bissaka from Nuno Espirito Santo, with a number of the Hammers expected to leave.
