Tottenham planning move to sign Sunderland’s Robin Roefs; he would be worth £50m

Tottenham Hotspur are now set to sign a Premier League rival to replace one of their star players, leaving Sunderland fearing the worst.
Tudor repeats: “I’m here to solve problems”
There was a moment when Tottenham fans believed they could challenge their rivals for another major title. Declan Rice’s header was in danger of going viral for all the wrong reasons when Randal Kolo Muani equalized shortly after, but Arsenal quickly saved their embarrassment by beating the Lilywhites.
Igor Tudor’s side now sit just four points above the dropzone and although the interim manager has a lot of work to do, he reminded reporters that he is here to solve Spurs’ problems.
The Croatian told reporters: “They wanted to do everything we prepared so I said that’s good but we have to understand what moment we are in now because we won’t be able to do it.
“What we can do is the problem we are solving and I am talking from the first day at the club, I come here to solve problems.
Fewer touches and passes than Vicario: Tudor should bring down Spurs’ 3/10 star
Tottenham Hotspur have now lost their North London Derbies, with Igor Tudor needing to let go of the title ahead of crucial Premier League games.
“You believe that in three or four training sessions you will do your best but when the game starts you don’t know what will happen because it’s like this – but as I said earlier on Tuesday, I’m going in for everyone to stay humble. That’s what’s important.
“Stay humble, that’s the key for each of us and try to be what I said before – a team, a team, a hard-working team. That’s the only goal we have now at this moment.”
Tottenham are now at the point where survival would not be enough to hold on to some of their first stars, and that could start with the exit of Guglielmo Vicario.
Tottenham plan to sign Vicario for £50m
As reported by TeamTalk, Tottenham are now planning a move to sign Robin Roefs to replace Vicario this summer. The Italian is reportedly attracting interest from his homeland, with Juventus and Inter Milan battling to secure his signature in the coming months.
That will leave those in North London looking for a new No.1, which is where Roefs could be important. The Sunderland shot-stopper has enjoyed an almost perfect debut season and is now reportedly worth around £50m as a result.
Money would not be a major obstacle here, however. Tottenham’s biggest task will be to convince Roefs to join after enduring a down season. After an excellent season, those on Wearside may be in a driving position.
Some at Sunderland may still fear the worst amid Tottenham’s interest, but Regis Le Bris is unlikely to open the door after: “For us, shooting was important. With a goalkeeper, that’s non-negotiable.

Spurs have been informed that he could be available.
“He’s fast, he’s quick when he’s able to cross and he’s in good contact with his backline so when there are balls at the back, he’s very aware and moves in these situations and he’s good with his feet.”
