The big-money Sunderland star has rejected a new contract and is now set to leave

Wilson Isidor is now “ready to quit” Sunderland this summer after losing his place to sensational signing Brian Brobbey in the club’s first season back in the Premier League.
Isidor is “ready to quit” Sunderland
It’s going to be an interesting summer for Sunderland. For the first time under Regis Le Bris, they could face a battle to keep hold of their best stars after such a good season.
Reports have already surfaced about Brobbey’s future at the club in recent months and he is just one big name that has impressed enough to garner interest from Bayern Munich clubs.
Sunderland could sign Ballard’s £36m upgrade from Spurs
Sunderland need to fix their backline, with the problems that have plagued them over the past few months.
But that’s not the only concern on Wearside. According to Solezwe’s player, Charlie Gordon, Isidor is ready to leave Sunderland after failing to regain his first place in the Premier League this season.
The striker has not started a league game in five months and is ready to take a break as a result. Interest came from several Premier League sides in January, including Everton and Nottingham Forest, but those clubs were put off by Sunderland’s £25m price tag.
Since then, despite his lack of playing time, Sunderland have tried to negotiate a new deal with Isidor, but their efforts were rejected by the Haiti international.

Whether those at the Stadium of Light stick with their price or allow their striker to leave at a reduced price this summer is now the big question. Even behind the best Brobbey, Isidor showed his quality at times – scoring five league goals in his first season in the top flight.
Given that there is also interest in Brobbey, Sunderland would be playing a risky game by sanctioning the sale of their back-up striker this summer.
Sunderland must replace £25m Isidor
It shows how successful Sunderland’s recruitment has been to get Brobbey and Isidor in their ranks. But the latter’s unhappiness will bring trouble to paradise this summer – a problem the Black Cats must resolve before the new campaign begins.
The departure of Isidor should be consistent with all parties when that change comes. This is a 25-year-old striker at the start of his season, who has shown in small numbers that he can find a goal in the top division. There is a good reason why so many sides are interested in January.
Isidor’s effort from the bench against Aston Villa last month proved his worth. If not Brobbey, it should be Sunderland’s backup striker. Despite that competition, the brutal nature of the Premier League calendar will reach almost any side.
So, while the striker wants to leave this summer, those on Wearside must not open the door until they have found one of their own.
