Mike Vrabel has the full support of his young star quarterback.
New England Patriots head coach and Drake Maye, in his second NFL season, won the AFC and returned the Pats to familiar territory: the Super Bowl.
The big game itself didn’t go the way they would have liked, but at the very least, it showed that Patriots fans may have their quarterback coaching tandem for years to come.

But the team has become derailed amid Vrabel’s feud with former Athletic reporter Dianna Russini, which has led Vrabel to have “difficult conversations with people I care about” and even seek counseling.
Last week, the Patriots said in a statement that they “fully support” their head coach, and Maye expressed the same sentiment.
“We wanted a coach, we love the coach and what he’s done for us, and what he’s done for us this past year. You can’t put it into words, and we’re thankful, he’s our head coach,” Maye told WHDH-TV in Boston.
“We know he’s going through other things off the field and off the coaches, but we’re here for him and I know he’ll be back.”

The scandal began earlier this month when he and Russini were photographed together in Sedona, Arizona, private resort holding hands and lying next to each other in the pool.
Since then, photos have surfaced in 2020 showing Vrabel and Russini kissing in a bar in New York City. Photos obtained by The New York Post taken on the morning of March 11, 2020.
Russini reportedly married Kevin Goldschmidt, her husband and Shake Shack CEO, six months after the photos were taken. Goldschmidt and Russini also have two children.
Vrabel has been married to his wife, Jen, since 1999, and they share two sons together. In the photos, Vrabel’s wedding band can be seen on his left hand as he chats with Russini. At the time, Russini was with ESPN, while Vrabel coached the Tennessee Titans.
