‘Facts of Life’ star Mindy Cohn reveals her secret cancer battle and recovery

Mindy Cohn is out of the hospital and recovering after a secret battle with cancer.

The “Facts of Life” actress returned to Instagram on Sunday with a thank you for life and a message to her fans.

“I haven’t been on social media for a while ’cause I had to start a life with cancer,” Cohn said online.

The “Palm Royale” star rested in a hospital bed and gave a thumbs up in a photo posted on her account.

“I did it with the amazing help of the staff at Providence Saint John Hospital, especially my nurses Finja, Patty and Courtney and my hero, the amazing oncology surgeon @antonbilchik.”

Cohn, who rose to stardom playing Natalie Green on the hit ’80s sitcom, did not reveal any further details about her diagnosis.

Cohn’s representatives did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

“Thanks to my family, especially @tarakarsian @johnwstewart @gregoryzarian who I love so much who have been my advocates and always ready to help me when it’s ‘my turn,'” Cohn continued.

“Just a few more weeks and I’m ready for my next trip. On! F**K Cancer!”

A number of stars of stage and screen have sent their best wishes to the actress, with Helen Hunt giving the approval of Dr. Blilchik.

“Mindy!!!! Sending love and healing power,” wrote Holly Robinson Peete, while Octavia Spencer posted dozens of heart emojis.

“You’ve got this girl,” said Rosie O’Donnell.

“Love you, Mindy! Here whenever you need us!” Jerry O’Connell commented, while Peri Gilpin wrote, “Lots of Love to you Mindy! Glad you’re on the mend. Looking forward to coffee in the near future!”

Cohn previously admitted that he didn’t set out to pursue an acting career when he starred in “The Facts of Life” at age 13.

“That’s what I did after school — and I’d come home to do four hours of homework a night,” he told Vanity Fair.

“I will tell you that as a 17-year-old, I felt like I was 40 years old, and a lot of it had to do with school work. But that importance of being on a TV show didn’t hit me until then, so I think it saved me.”

Legendary producer Norman Lear, production director Alan Horn and actor of “Diff’rent Strokes” Charlotte Rae met Cohn during a visit to her high school, Westlake School for Girls in Bel Air.

“The Facts of Life” follows four girls who attend the prestigious boarding school, Eastland School, and their relationship with their dorm mother, Mrs. Edna Garrett (Rae). The show aired for nine seasons from 1979-88.
