Arsenal are set to offer the £38m star a “record breaking” new deal to secure Real Madrid

Arsenal are now ready to do everything possible to keep Jurrien Timber this summer, offering the “record” Dutchman a new contract and selling another player to cement his place in the first team.
Arsenal are studying a “record” deal for Timber
There were some in North London who began to question Timber’s influence in Mikel Arteta’s side. He was showing all the signs of a player who has played almost every game this season, before suffering an inexplicable injury.
Since the injury, doubts about his quality have been put to rest. Arsenal have suffered in his absence and will be hoping to welcome their defender back for a crucial title win against Manchester City on Sunday.
The Dutchman’s recent absence has appeared to hasten plans for a new and improved deal at the Emirates. According to Sports Boom, Arsenal are now ready to offer Timber a “record” new contract to fend off interest from Real Madrid this summer.
Arsenal will consider sacking Arteta this summer in two major circumstances
The Gunners have a tough few weeks ahead.
Florentina Perez has reportedly set aside a “war chest” to sign the defender, but any potential deal will be sealed if the Timbers put down new names in North London.

It’s no surprise that Arsenal will do everything they can to keep one of their stars, given how much better he is when he’s playing, and it’s not just a new signing they’re willing to send.
The report also claims that the Gunners are willing to sell another player just to keep their £38m man happy this summer.
Arsenal are ready to ditch Ben White to keep Timber
Indeed, Arsenal are reportedly set to sell Ben White as a replacement, which will cement Timber as an integral part of the first team.
The two right-backs have been battling for the starting spot this season and with Timber ending the battle, the Gunners are expected to show the former Brighton man the door this summer. That would leave Arsenal without a natural backup for Timber and could end their pursuit of Real Madrid as a result.
White has not helped cement his Arsenal future as of late, struggling to stand up for his injured team-mate when Arteta’s side desperately needed to keep Man City out of the title race.

The Gunners still won half of their games in the Premier League when White played this season. Without Timber, their right back position has gone from a strength to a weakness which Man City could expose again this Sunday.
If selling the England international ends Real Madrid’s pursuit of Timber, then it’s a sacrifice Arsenal must make this summer.
